Future of Cars


The future of cars is more like the future of aviation and cars.  The "Jetsons" cartoon once seemed far fetched, but technology has brought the idea of flying automobiles closer to reality.  Automobiles that convert to airplanes and vice versa may be real in a few short decades.  There are companies that have already produced prototypes with an expected purchase price of around $200,000.  Not bad considering the cost of traditional small aircrafts. 

The picture below is of the Terrafugia Transition. This is designed to appeal to the small aircraft target market who wish to take their airplane straight from their garage and into the air.  These car-planes are designed to adhere to automotive safety standards and have already debuted in the United States.
