Auto repair service near Midway, FL

The second time I have been to this store and it will be my last. On both visits I had no help and no advice. Once had a lady tell me to turn on my lights while my car was off to check the alt. and battery. The last time I went to get the fuse and showed them the fuse(both of the workers) and without interupting there conversation they both looked at me and said "nope". I asked if it was something they could order..(now there looking at me like im messing up there conversation) and said.. "nope" thats it "nope".

I was broke down on the interstate a State Trooper gave me this location to go to and I made it there, the owner of this place was not very helpful at all. He looked at my car and preceed to tell me my transmission was out and when his mechanic arrived back from lunch he would have him look at my car. Well that never happened after several hours sitting there he told me I had major transmission problems and I could leave my car there to be repaired. I was 180 miles from home. So the car was towed back to jacksonvile and it was not the transmission it was a vaccume hose that had come loose. So I want to say thank you to the owner of this A1 Auto Service that tried to rip me off because I was a girl and so far from home. I drove my car out of there and left it down by the intersate for it to be towed so it would not be left on his property and be charged storage fees he wanted to charge me. Enterprise in Tallahassee came out 30 miles to pick me up and get me a rental to get me back on the road after sitting for 4 hours and I made it in time to Pensacola for my Granddaughter to be born! I was stranded on the side of the road and they saved me a tow fee when they came and put a new alternator on. I checked prices around and they were in line with the shops, but they came to me. What a wonderful service.

I will NEVER go anywhere else for a mechanic from now on. These guys are hard-working, fast, family-owned, extraordinarily friendly, and most importantly honest. They do a great job at a fair price. My Rav4 needed an alternator/belt and google recommended D T's Garage Auto Repair to me. I called Friday morning and they said come on in. This was after another mechanic in Tallahassee did not return my calls and was overpriced as well. After I got there, they went over it and showing me the old belt and alternator, then they fixed my vehicle quickly as I waited. The mechanic checked the vehicle from front to back and I was treated like I mattered. I also asked them about some other problems and they did not charge me for anything extra. Most places try to sell extras or add-ons but they did not try to sell anything that I did not need. These guys understand customers and how to manage a local mechanic shop! All around trusting, good-natured team! I’ll never take my car anywhere else as long as I am in Tallahassee. Thank you!

Honest and dependable! I found Capital City Auto Repair after a "car emergency" that required me to find a repair shop in a hurry. I am so glad that Capital City Auto Repair was there. They did a great job on my car, and the work was done efficiently and in a timely manner. The price can't be beat! I am very satisfied with Capital City Auto Repair and will definitely use them again the next time my car needs maintenance or repair.

I have been taking my cars to Pedro for a couple of years now, and I estimate he has saved me hundreds of dollars on car repairs. When other shops inflated their quotes to thousands of dollars, I have been able to take the car to Pedro and get a fair estimate. He does good work, and I have always got my car back the same day. Take it to Pedro and you will be happy you did.

80 year old mother limped her car into this shop. Doug evidently diagnosed the problem as a bad coil and did the repairs for $400. Trouble has been after the repairs - Doug Sr. has been a complete ass and prevented Doug from explaining to Mom the nature of the repairs and if he actually fixed the source of the failure - horrible after the fact service and communication. All Sr. wants to do is belligerently point out how long he has been in the business - totally irrelevant to our need to understand the repairs done on Mom's car. I'm not sure what they are hiding but I guess time will tell. Very difficult situation and as the consumer you would think Doug wouldn't mind explaining what he did and why.

i went to clays and was completely unsatisfied. they charged me 400$ for a problem that they werent even able to fix. not only that, but they did something to give me a terrible oil leak so that i would have to give them even more money. before going through with it, i got a friend who works on cars to take a look at it. he said that all it needed was to be tightened. i cannot believe someone would be so untrustworthy with a car that they would do something like this to get more money out of people. worst service ever i will never be going back.

This is a shoddy business! They prey on college students, convincing and forcing them to have their car towed to their shop, then they charge you for everything possible. I heard of it happening to other students, but then it happened to me and my son this weekend. Rude, conniving, shoddy business....stay away from this business!!!! I would given them a negative star rating if possible, but I'm forced to at least give one.
