Where to begin….my ram had a slip in 2nd gear, pulled trans out and to... read more Where to begin….my ram had a slip in 2nd gear, pulled trans out and took it in to be repaired. Got talked into 2 different “upgrades” costing $3200 while it was out and apart which I was fine with. Upon reinstalling trans found that shift lever was installed incorrectly and fixed myself. Then with trans install complete I found it had a plethora of issues that it previously didn’t have. Took the truck back to get repaired only to find later that an untrained, uncertified technician was turned loose to experiment on my trans. Basically throwing parts at it that were not bad trying to fix the issues which turned out to be internal issues from trans not being rebuilt correctly in the first place. After 3 weeks of experimental work just to find out that the prob with the trans was their own wrong doing they still wanted to charge me an additional $2000 for a job that they messed up in the first place. I think Virgilio’s handled this situation very unprofessionally and I would not recommend anyone taking anything to them to get repaired. If they had a zero star option instead of 1 star I would have chosen the zero star.

I could not believe the diagnosis fee was $185 and not deducted from the repairs. I didn’t know my car had two air filters. I was charged for two.
I’m very torn on giving this review- part of me wants to give one star... read more I’m very torn on giving this review- part of me wants to give one star and part wants to give 5. To start, the staff here is great- in particular Shawn the mechanic and Erin the receptionist, who both went out of their way to ensure I left as happy of a customer as I could be. Unfortunately the same can’t be said about the management. My truck was towed to Virgilio’s in early January, after I had diagnosed that one injector was bad and needed to be replaced, and asked for an oil change while they had it. Upon receiving my truck, this message was NOT passed down to the shop as they began a full diagnostic adventure into my engine, just to find that the same injector I claimed was bad was the issue (which took 1.5 weeks to even get to due to delays). After a week of no calls, updates, etc. i reach out to find we’re still waiting. A week later, still no updates, I call again, and finally I’m informed that several other parts were broken during the diagnostic tests I never asked for, and was told “this isn’t going to be cheap if we can’t get the broken part out”. Then, another week of silence. Eventually, I’ve had enough and drive to the shop to speak with someone in person (at this point we’re at week 4 and I’ve been called one time by the service advisor) and am told it will likely be a few more days. Finally, I get my truck back, they tried to charge me for the parts that were broken during the diagnostic I didn’t want, THE WRONG OIL WAS USED FOR MY OIL CHANGE (I specifically asked for what has always been run in my truck), my engine bay is full of old oil, front bumper covered in dirt/footprints, and battery is dead. Erin was kind enough to work with me on the pricing issues, and we settle up. The following day, my truck has to be taken back to the shop due to a fuel line not being reconnected properly, and Shawn was kind enough to stay late on a Friday evening to fix it at no cost. Once again, Shawn and Erin are GREAT. Since then I still haven’t heard from any management to get an “Im sorry”, “we messed up”, or even an “F-you”, which I would have expected after Virgilio’s had my truck for over a month with one outbound call to me. Great staff, horrible communication, horrible management.
