I brought my vehicle in to Ode for repairs, explained to Paul what I w... read more I brought my vehicle in to Ode for repairs, explained to Paul what I wanted fixed, told him I have a oil leak, trans leak, broken motor mount and possible a broken trans mount. Paul advised me to get a vehicle inspection done to check everything out and see if there is anything I missed. I was called the next day and told that the trans mount was good and that the lines for the oil and trans were leaking and the motor mount was gonna be replaced. When I went to pick up my vehicle I asked if it was one or both trans lines that were leaking. I was then told that the tech was not informed to look for a trans leak even though that was one of my main problems of why I was there in the first place and he didn't even look during the inspection because he was too lazy to remove the skid plate and do his job properly. The owner then tells me that I must have miscommunicated to Paul and that's why his tech didn't look for the trans leak. I asked what was the point of the inspection. when I returned home I looked under my truck and can clearly see trans fluid all over the trans and transfer case and all the rubber on the trans mount is destroyed. Their mark up on parts is unethical to say the least, its over 200%. They get their parts from napa, I can buy the same part and normal retail price for $24.95, they charged me $56.69 and they get the part at wholesale for about $8 you do the math on that. They will tell you that it is for warranty reasons but that is not true, when you have a account with a auto parts store and a part fails that have labor involved, you submit a claim and the auto part store pay the warranty claim, that is one of the reasons that book time also list warranty time. I managed a shop for 15 years and this is not a way to run a business. They scam hard working honest people so that they can keep their pockets full. their prices are through the roof and they don't even do a complete job. Go to the dealer it will be cheaper, the dealer doesn't have that kind of markup on parts. I will never return to Ode for anything.
Since I got my 2010 Hyundai Elantra I've been taking it to Mac's Tire ... read more Since I got my 2010 Hyundai Elantra I've been taking it to Mac's Tire and Auto for all my maintenance work. For a few months after the purchase of my auto, I took it to the dealer for maintenance. However, I found them to be a little pricey. My neighbor told me of Mac's auto and said he was very satisfied. I started taking my car to Mac's ever since 2010 for about 4 years, and I've been super satisfied since. Also the owner and all his employees are very nice.
