Tim has been working as a technician for nearly 20 years, and he is ASE certified. After working in an auto parts store for a few years, Tim spent the next 6 years working for several independent shops ultimately leading him to the dealership world.
After 5 years in the dealership world, Tim decided to go out on his own and start his own business. HI-TECH Automotive, which stands for "HI Tim, Emily, Char-Caleb-Courtney, Helmick", opened in July of 2006.
The shop started with just Tim as the technician/service writer/owner/accountant/etc. and a part time service writer in the front. It quickly grew and in August 2006 they hired their first technician in addition to Tim. One year later, in 2007, two more were hired. That was when Tim began to take on the role of the person in charge of running and managing the shop.
Now there are 4 full time technicians and 1 full time service writer, 1 part time office gal, along with Tim, who keeps all the ducks in a row. Every year the business grows even bigger and is looking for more new customers to provide their services to.
