Buying a used car

I am Interested in a lower price tarus, even if I bring in my 98 ford tarus SL
the engine dives like the day I bought it...I would like to bring it in for a 
 possable trade in. ( except my Inspection is  on hold, until the rocker panel
gets fixed, along with other rusted areas.....Since last August my health
has been getting worse...only use the car for doctors and hospital visits.
 It comes to 4 to 6 times a month..Even if no trade In, I'd love to see some 
Used Cars around the price range of $ 1100.00 to 1500.00 Hope tadein is worth
a good amount.
 I live in waymart, and am 67 years old..It's hard to walk & breath...COPD
 But I feel 45 years Inside, and want to have my Independnce By having a 
 Nice car to drive around, when I want to.
