My car dies intermittently : 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera

Car Model: 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
Location: Saint Joseph, MO Submitted on March 4, 2013

Saint Joseph, MO

I put a new ignition module and crank sensor. It dies after it has run about 10-15 min. depending on how warm it is out. The warmer it is the faster it dies.

After it warms up to operating tempter. Do a compression test of all the cylinders. Do a dry test first then a wet test. If you get a difference it could be a head gasket.

It does sound electric related. Maybe try cam sensor.
