Took my 1999 Porsche 911 here for service for the first time. I'm a new owner and I was a little intimidated about taking my car to a "race shop" but after my research they really seemed like the best option and appeared to provide a good experience to "normal" people. I'm a pretty hardcore home mechanic but the 911 is a different beast and I know my limits - I needed to find a professional to deal with a transmission drop. It also means I'm SUPER picky about who I will work with. I'm happy to say that this was the best vehicle service experience I've ever had. I never felt out of place because I'm not a racer boy or anything like that. Dan the service manager is super responsive and knowledgable and when you have a question he can't answer he goes to the mechanics and does a great job of translating for you. I got no judgement when asking questions like "do you have Porsche Special tool 9699/1 and what is your experiencing dealing with crankshaft bore concentricity issues." They worked efficinently and most importantly, there rates are suprisingly fair. I've read stories on the internet of inflated Porsche service costs in excess of 200-300 dollars an hour. These guys we like half that and just did an awesome job. I'm much more likely to continue my Porsche ownership now that I know I have a partner in town I can work with. Prior to this I was kinda on the fence about keeping the car because of the fear of running costs and working with unreliable yahoos to keep the car running. I'm not suggesting that there might not be other options in the area - can't say. But I'm just happy I picked well my first go around. I'm back to enjoying Porsche ownership after my first scare and I owe that to the team at Kelly Moss. --Ian

I went here to get a headlight replaced. Their markup on bulbs is over 150%! Then they killed my battery leaving my interior lights on. Had to get a $70 jump and they won't reimburse me for it. The manager won't even call me back!!

I recently went in for some service to be done to my car. These guys are honest and the prices are fair. I highly recommend using them for your auto repairs.

Do not go to this place for service. I took my 2008 Saturn Vue in for service and it sat in the shop for 8 days. The car had a small sputter during acceleration. The lady at the desk hung up on me two times! They could not fine the problem and after 8 days they refused to do any more service. I asked if they checked the plug wires and they said no but they could change them for 436.00. I took the car back and replaced all plugs and wires my self for 76.00. The problem has not come back since the change, This is one of the first things that should have been checked. They were ready to tear down the transmission to inspect it. But if the problem wasn't the transmission I would be charged for the labor. Please heed this warning! Do not give these people your business unless you have money to throw away.

My experience purchasing a used vehicle was extremely frustrating and disappointing. The vehicle was supposedly inspected and ready to drive without further repairs with a rebuilt engine. However there were serious problems from day one. Including a dead battery, transmission-related difficulties, misfiring of the rebuilt engine and much more. Because of some of these problems I narrowly missed having accidents while driving the first 2 weeks. For example, the vehicle stalling on hills and the anti-lock brake system being on for over 3 months without any warning light. Also the tires lost significant air every two days in Winter and presently every two weeks. When I tried having these problems fixed under the warranty, the Midwest Staff denied that these were problems, calling these serious defects "Normal" or couldn‘t find anything wrong. I had to have most of these repaired by an independent mechanic, who found the problems easily. Within 5 months of owning this vehicle, it will have cost me $4,200 to repair defects that were hidden of denied by Midwest Engines. If you are thinking of buying a used vehicle from this dealership, be aware that they are dishonest and do not provide any customer service. They will take your money for the purchase of the vehicle and could care less after. And the only service person 99% your stuck and forced to deal with is COLIN who treats you horribly and is full of excuses and nothing else.
