5 Signs That You Really, Really Love Your Car

I love my car. How much do I love it? I love it so much that when I see people I haven't talked to in a while, they usually ask me whether I still have my car and ask how it's doing. Here are six signs that you really take great care of your car:

1) You park far away from everyone else -  I refuse to park next to other cars unless I absolutely have to for fear of someone dinging my door or whacking my car with a shopping cart. I also try to park next to people who look like they take care of their cars, so I'll avoid being parked next to someone with duct tape on their bumper because if they don't care about their car, they certainly won't care if they smash their door into mine.

2) You don't let people do anything inside your car except sit in it - If you're getting in my car, you're not allowed to eat in it unless you have my permission. A bottle of water is fine but you're not smearing cream cheese all over my door handles. You're not smoking in my car under any circumstances and you're certainly not clipping your nails or shaving. As a matter of fact, just sit in the passenger's seat and try not to touch anything.

3) You get offended if someone insults your car- Most people really wouldn't take it personal if someone made a disparaging remark about their car, but anyone that really cares about their car certainly would. You can see it in the comment sections of car websites or Facebook conversations; heated arguments about quality, specs and someone vehemently defending their "baby" as if it was literally their child.

4) You go on long drives because you enjoy them - When you really love your car, you'll go out for a cruise without a destination. The drive is the fun part. When it's nice out there's nothing better than going out for a long drive down some windy back roads, stopping somewhere for a snack or ice cream and cruising home happy.

5) You have a very hard time trusting someone else to work on your car- Mechanic Advisor was started because of a lack of trust when it came time to let someone work on your car. Those of us that really love our cars won't hand the keys over to just anyone. I only want my car touched by people who will treat it like it was their own, so I always make sure to check out online reviews and ask a lot of questions before dropping my baby off to get worked on.
