I do most of my automotive service myself. What I don't do, or can't do, goes to the few places I trust. Harbor Brake Service is a place I trust, and have for years even back in the days of Fred and Wayne Lebsack. Evan -- the current owner -- maintains the tradition of honesty and fairness. He will tell you when something truly needs to be done, and he'll let you know when something can wait. His prices are competitive and excellent for the quality. I've had brakes done, along with occasional suspension work, and it is the absolute only place I will go for an alignment. He will work with you to arrange a convenient appointment, and works fast. Other than being a longtime satisfied customer, I have no connection with Harbor Brake. I consider it one of the best automotive service centers in the entire county. You won't be disappointed.

The service at Rick's was terrific! I was on my way to take my son back to UC Irvine from Agoura when my battery and engine lights came on. It turns out I needed a new alternator and belts. Rick went out of his way to accomodate my schedule. He fixed my car promptly which enabled me to get my son back to UCI to attend class that afternoon. Excellent customer service at this American Tire Depot, I didn't had no problem at the first tire depot in Torrance on Hawthorne Blvd when I purchase my tire set but after today I'm really disapointed I called a appt for my tires to be rotated the guy was able to give me the appt the same day I was happy but meanwhile my truck was getting a oil change @ the dealership which took almost 2hrs instead of 1hr so made me late to my appt at American tire depot in Torrance so I get there and the guy didn't want to help me at all because it was almost 3 o'clock and had 4 cars ahead of me. I wouldn't mind to wait but he didn't even offer me. Instead he wanted to give me an appt for tomorrow, so I started calling all the American Tire depot around my area and found me the 1 in Hawthorne in Rosecrans Ave the guy who answer my called told me to come in and was going to help me with my rotation and they sure did help me ASAP when I got there and was out in less then a 1hr thank you guys so so so much for your help. Shady shop in Glendale must avoid. I went in for some new tires. They continuously changed the price quote and switched tire brands. They insisted that I need an alignment and new control arm bushings or they won't provide warranty on the new tires. I allowed them to change the bushings and do an alignment and after a couple of days the car drives terribly. It pulls to either right or left side at highway speeds and intermittently there is a wobble on the front right wheel side. I took the car back and after their "mechanic" test drove they tell me I need new brake rotors and need new brake system. This is so bogus because when they worked on my car initially they said everything is fine we checked brakes, etc, etc, etc. My car was driving fine before they worked on my car! I just needed new tires. So now my car has a wobble and alignment is off and they wont fix the work they did. They want to charge me for more things that I don't need instead of replacing the cheap aftermarket bushings they put in. Really sad just avoid this place. Just let them fix your flat tires nothing more. CHECK THEIR BBB! ALL THEIR STORES HAVE 'F' RATING AND THE GLENDALE LOCATION DOES NOT EVEN HAVE BBB! How is this shop still open I have no idea...

Overpriced with a "can't tell me sh*t" attitude. Maybe their great on old cars but as for my wife's 2010 Challenger they caused more issues then fixed and charged me 1/3 more then anywhere else to do it. Brought my car in for springs, struts, alignment and to go through and make sure everything was right. Did a motor swap and the shop before didn't tighten the lock nuts on my adjustable suspension so wanted it all gone over. Guy was mouthy from the start and bitched about the job the whole time. My front ball joints we're missing a lock plate (found out later), really obvious but they didn't say anything and put it back together anyway. Also missed my rear craddle bushings went bad even after bringing it back to them. This is a huge issue and made the car unsafe to drive, they said it was all good though. I call back and kind of question their knowledge since these basic and obvious issues were missed to which I was hung up on. My advice, find another shop and save yourself the agony.
