Two weeks later, the transmission failed without warning upon departing from a traffic stop light. Within minutes of the event, I brought the truck to Fishers for help. They explained that the transmission had gone bad, could not be repaired, and needed replacement. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, agreed to the replacement and paid nearly $5000. To their credit, the replacement of the transmission with a warrantied remanufactured unit was accomplished quicker than estimated. With the work completed, the truck ran well ...until May of 2023 when a loud squealing noise was heard and followed by a very hard shift. Additional intermittent noises and sloppy shifting prompted a return to Fisher's ...to which they acknowledged that the fluid was already exhibiting signs of failure, but did little else beyond suggesting: "We'll just have to wait and see what happens" and the owner Sarah telling me that she would contact the transmission remanufacturer. A few more weeks of driving with the specter of an imminent breakdown triggered my bringing the truck to a transmission repair specialist. They diagnosed a failing Torque Converter and stated that the fluid should not look or smell the way it did at just 7000 miles after a major repair. Despite being under warranty, I had no desire to wait until the transmission failed, the probable long tow back to Fisher's, likely warranty claim disappointment, and downtime impact upon my business route. My experience with Fisher resulted in the premature loss of a beloved truck, adding a large unplanned financial (on top of those already incurred) and time expenditure for a replacement vehicle. They were given an opportunity to address the problem when it was obviously getting worse and their inaction has lost them this faithful customer, his mother, her neighbor and whomever else I can convince with this review.

James and Gerard were fantastic. They explained everything they were going to do. Many people came in with their cars and they seemed to know everybody, and they were all happy. I would give Fischers a thumbs up. Thanks James and Gerard. Linda H. Ocala, FL

The extent of the previous work performed by Ice Cold Air not only left Mr. Cook at personal risk but the potential negligent damage to the vehicle. 1. The engine is dangerously out of tune not only presenting an impending fire hazard but also demonstrate a “run on scenario” as which point operator of the vehicle can not shut down the engine which is an extremely dangerous situation deeming the car undrivable. 2. The vehicle presents multiple miss-fires due to substandard repair practice potentially causing further damage to the internal components of the engine. 3. Multiple key fasteners in critical components were found loose and hazardous but multiple bolts to the transmission and engine assemblies are completely missing. 4. The poor practice used in assembly of Mr. Cook vehicle warrant a complete disassembly of engine and other affected systems, a full assessment of damage incurred and reassembly of the components utilizing proper repair practices and procedures. 5. Break lines - are exposed and attached to the shock springs putting Mr. Cook at risk of break-failure. 6. Exhaust - smokes as if during work previously performed valve stem seals were not replaced or an oil bypass of piston rings. 7. Old Y pipes - have been sealed with putty but still leak. 8. Carburetor and Fuel Pump - Severe gas leak and smell coming from unions to carburetor and fuel pump. 9. Air compressor - doesn’t function. 10. Spark plug wires - are burned and destroyed from engine exposure. 11. Horn blows - when you turn steering wheel. 12. Rear left break light - does NOT work. 13. Oil pan gasket - is sealed poorly with RTV. 14. Transmission gasket - is sealed with RTV and still leaking. 15. Headlights - wiring is faulty, unsecured and connected with Solid State Home wire nuts. 16. Engine - wiring harness is poorly run and not installed to factor specs. NOTE: Mr. Cook has been advised that his vehicle is a safety hazard to not only himself but any occupants inside the vehicle and a danger to other drivers on the public roadways.
