Ive been in 2 times in 2 months and Im seeing that they are acting as ... read more Ive been in 2 times in 2 months and Im seeing that they are acting as a dealership and charging Chiltons Time for every move they make. This results in gouging when doing diagnostic work or basic work such as a charging system checks etc. I managed shops in the past in this field and all shops used several different hourly rates depending on the procedure performed. Smaller shops like this should not charge Dealership prices? What has happened to free check of this or that so that you can get the business in the door and be fair about costs? I fear I may not be back as I have brought up the fact of this gouging and no one offered any concern about their practices. They just say that's what it is!! Ive spent thousands here over the years but it seems they are ruthless nowdays and its sad that the hometown atmosphere has gone from this company.
I had an accident on my way to work last Friday morning and damaged th... read more I had an accident on my way to work last Friday morning and damaged the front of my car. I was able to drive the car afterwards but on the way home Friday, my check engine light came on. I took it to Lloyd's Saturday morning and they determined that the radiator was cracked. I had already filed a claim and was scheduled to get it fixed at a local body shop but had to inform the insurance company about the additional damage. Lloyd's didn't fix the radiator because they said the damage to the car from the accident may have broken the mounts and done other damage that the body shop would have to repair anyway. I appreciated their honesty and they let me leave the car there over the weekend until the body shop could come get it. I promised I would come back for an oil change and to get the brakes fixed once I got the car back. I've always had good service from Lloyd's
Very helpful and polite. Very nice people to trust my car with.
