Desert Winds Chevron

Watch out when you pull in here.  We got the "you need new tires" treatment immediately.  A poor man's Elvis ran out nearly screaming with hysterics.  YOU NEED TIRES!! OMG!  He intimidated us into allowing him to put the car up on the jack and yeah, we did need tires, but come on.  We told him we just have enough to get home, maybe he could put a used tire on the worse one.  SIXTY BUCKS.  For a USED tire.  Uh huh.  Right about then ANOTHER Chevron employee, a poor man's Rodney Dangerfield, came running around the building confirming the diagnosis loudly OMG YOU NEED NEW TIRES.  When he found out we didn't have cash, he suggested we call someone for a loan.  Things started to smell bad.  We may have been two women alone, but we can smell something fishy, too.  We left without incident, but people need to know that those dudes are really putting out the bait.
