I asked them to check my brakes when I was in for an oil change because the they had not been replaced for quite a while and I figured they might be getting low. They said my brakes looked fine--but several months later a different shop told me (and a third shop confirmed) that the brakes were practically down to nothing and needed to be replaced immediately. I am very lucky that a had a more careful/competent mechanic look at my car, otherwise I would have continued driving around with virtually no brakes--putting myself and everybody else on the road in danger. So I would take anything the mechanics at Falls Church Sunoco tell you with a grain of salt.
