I took my boat to Uwharrie Marine to have some repair work done a mont... read more I took my boat to Uwharrie Marine to have some repair work done a month ago (July). I only live about two blocks away from this business so I pass it often, after a week went by they finally got the boat inside to check it out. I was told what they say the problem was and that they would order the part and call as soon as it was repaired. Another week went by and the boat hadn't been moved I checked on it again, the lady at the counter ask had anyone called me about the boat been ready, a guy came from the back (not the same one I talked to originally) and said as soon as they get the part to them they would get the boat repaired. I waited yet another week and stopped in again and the original sales person said he would have to call to a parts place at Lake Norman to see if they had the part and he would get his friend to deliver it.(I had already been told the part was on order by this same guy) I told him if they had the part I would go get it myself, he said he would call as soon as he got in contact with his friend if he wanted me to go after the part. Another week went by and I saw the boat hadn't been moved so on Thursday, August 21st I went to Uwharrie Marine and hooked up to my boat and went inside and was met by the same sales person who was supposed to order the part and he said the part still hasn't come in yet, and I said don't bother because my boat is going with me, you've had it long enough. My biggest mistake was taking my boat to this place to start with and my second was letting it stay there for as long as I did. We are fairly new to the area and didn't know any reputable dealers. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I have never heard of it taking a month to get a part in. I have since talked to others who have used this business with similar results.
