We took our FORCE motor to Dave because it was suddenly stopping on water and wasn't pulling correctly. When he finally got around to look at it, he told us it was compression and that it was going to cost over $1,500 to fix. My husband and I took the boat home thinking he had replaced spark plugs, and fixed tilt. When we put it out on the water, we discovered that he had done NONE of these and instead just charged us $75 for a hour of work when he did nothing. Since then, we have taken out boat to 2 other shops and was told that the compression is just fine and there is no need for a new engine. Long story short, Dave is a scam and just wanted us to buy a new engine. We bought our boat as a fixer upper/ just to have fun and NOT to spends thousands on a new motor. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

(ballast) I was originally told that the repair could be completed the next day. However, when I got there, I was told that it was going to take 9 days. I agreed. I was then asked to purchase the parts and bring them to him. I drove to harker's island for the parts and took them in the same day I dropped the boat off. I called the day before my boat was supposed to be ready and I was told that he was getting one out of the shop and he was bringing mine in. The next day I called at lunch time and I was told that my boat was still outside and that they were going out of town. I asked them to pull my boat out of the fenced area, put my parts on the seat because I was coming to pick it up. When I arrived, my boat was outside the fence but the parts were not there. The gates were locked. I called back the next Monday and I was told that they forgot the parts. I asked them to mail them to me. (I live 4 hours away and this shop is close to where I bought the boat)I offered to pay for the shipping. Donna agreed to ship the parts. Two weeks later, I called back because I had not received the parts. Donna told me she would mail them that day. Two more weeks passed and I called again. Donna apologized for not mailing them but she promised she would do it first thing Monday morning. Two more weeks passed and I called back. Donna apologized again, offered to mail the parts. She also stated that they have been in the back of her van all of this time. I am now almost 3 months out and i do not have my parts. They have never returned my phone calls nor returned any of my voice mails. Please steer clear of these people. My experience is that they are unreliable and untrustworthy. If I ever get my parts back from them then I will post a follow up review.
