If you're a young driver or an adult whose beginning to drive, and you... read more If you're a young driver or an adult whose beginning to drive, and your ready to attempt your driver's licensing examination, do yourself the favor and avoid scheduling your driver's examination at the Lancaster DL Center. There's two major problems that this particular center, which can be a setback towards achieving your goals to passing the exam. The first major problem is the lack of decent customer service. The driver's examiners often portray surly and impertinent behaviors that could throw you off, especially when you try to get clarification with the directions that they give you. It was shocking to me that such negativity could ever be acceptable, and even more saddening when it's mostly teenage drivers that are being presented with such unprofessionalism from adults who're supposed to know much better. The second major problem is the lack of quality in their parallel parking spot. The parallel parking spot is has an outlandish layout that I've ever seen, and experienced, with any parking spot around the area. Next to the parallel parking pad lays a small dip, which can throw many people off, as you think that you hit the curb once proceeding onto the spot. As a result, your vehicle will stall and it will have a hard time trying to get into the spot. On the opposite side of the parallel parking pad lays a large concrete slab, which is supposed to represent the curb. What's strange about this is that there's already an already existing curb, next to the concrete slab. What's wrong about this is that if you go up and over the slabs, you have a great chance of your tires getting stuck between the concrete slab and the actual curb. The only positive staff at the Lancaster DL Center are the ID Photographers. At least, they have the professionalism and the curtesy that the rest of the staff unfortunately doesn't possess. I would greatly recommend either the York or Harrisburg DL Centers, to take your driver's licensing exam. If you've already scheduled your exam at the Lancaster DL Center, I strongly advise that you cancel your exam and reschedule at another location.
