About 180 miles into our trip our alternator burnt out. Because I thought the issue was a faulty battery, I called AAA for a battery service. The tech determined the alternator was the issue. She could not recommend a nearby mechanic and said we'd be hard pressed to get service given the New Years holiday. Not being from the Carlisle, PA area, we decided to conduct a Google search and found T&M Automotive was about a 1/2 mile away. Turns out they are a AAA approved shop. Go figure why the AAA tech didn't know them! We spoke with Henrik who agreed to help us out. They were amazing!!! Henrik was able to get the required part, had his tech install it, test drove it and got us back on the road 3 hours later. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. They could have easily charged us more and we would have had to pay it given our situation. If you live in the Carlisle area, I highly recommend you use T&M Automotive for your car care. The noise in my engine was immediately addressed and fixed the dsy it happened. They had me park the car, picked it up and took it to the station. I received a call at the end of the day that the part had been replaced and the car was ready for pick up! I never have a concern when Hippensteel's service my car! I am grateful!!!! -Mary Jo

Live just a few blocks away and discovered my tire was almost flat. I popped my head in the door of the service station and asked them if they could put some air in my tire. This very sarcastic young man said, we are really busy, I am going to have to say no! not a good impression when I was considering taking my car there for servicing and it would have been within walking distance. You may have been busy, but how long does it take to put air in someone's tire. Luckily I made it to a place down the street and they were more than happy to help me. Learn some manners young man! It could be you some day, needing some air in your tire.
