Nick told me what was wrong and what needed to be we done to fix the problem, so I gave my approval. At last minute they asked my approval to add a $117 conditioner to the fluid, which I gave. Nick later admitted he added the fluid BEFORE I gave my permission. They test drove my vehicle and said it worked fine. I drove in town for a few errands just fine, but the first time I drove on the highway the exact same problem returned, but even worse because now there was a clunking noise. Their so-called repair cost me $1200, lasted 1 1/2 days, and only 20 hours. I spoke to Nick to advise the problem. He blew me off with some BS story and never returned my call. I called five days later. John answered, I heard him tell Nick he was going to transfer my call to him. I heard clicks, music, then it went directly to voice mail. Nick clearly refused my call and was avoiding me. BBB reported that VL has a C- rating and multiple complaints exactly like mine. They would not let VL join the BBB if VL wanted to. I'm going to file a formal complaint with the BBB to add this for the public record, and plan on filing a small suit claim to attemp to get some money back. Avoid VL at all costs, don't get screwed like I did. I just had a local mechanic tell me to avoid VL. VL, how about you man up and make this right? Had an oil change performed and coupon for $70. Since my vehicle requires ~7 to 8 quarts, it would be a bit more for the 2 -3 quarts (coupon covered 5 quarts). My total bill before tax was $131? That’s a difference of $61 or over $20 per 3 quarts? The bill charges $9.95 per quart. So it’s very difficult to ascertain the value. Thanks.
