I paid another shop thousands to diagnose a complicated problem: sticking cylinder from bad gas/corrosion. They thought it was electrical. Jim worked on it logically and methodically until he found the problem and fixed it right. It took longer than it should have, which is the only downside to this review. I'm bringing the boat in now after an entire season and there was not one problem with a fully rebuilt engine all year. I brought it back for maintenance and he's done with it already. He coordinated a hull repair right on the spot and had an experienced hull repairman come to the shop to give me an estimate so I didn't have to drive it over there too.
Liberty Marine takes advantage of people!!! They quoted me 2hrs for a ... read more Liberty Marine takes advantage of people!!! They quoted me 2hrs for a job that took a Legitimate shop 45min to do. Its shops like Liberty Marine that messes the economy up. (GREEDY)!!! I recommend that people call around and find out the actual Price before going with liberty marine!! Also lots of places do jobs by the job NOT the hour. but liberty LIES about the hours also..SHAME ON YOU LIBERTY MARINE.
