I started going to The Smog Guy (Don) about 4yrs ago. He and his staff are honest, fair & upfront with you. No unnecessary charges, courteous service and the absolute best in the valley. I refer everyone I know from my small mountain community and they have been extremely pleased. My Mother has also told all her acquaintances. She is pretty choosy when it comes to her Cadillac and would never consider taking it to anyone else but Don. My daughter drives a 1974 BMW. Parts are hard to come by, and pricey when you find them. John really went out of his way to locate sources of proper replacement parts at reasonable prices. Work he performed appears top notch. I'm very pleased with the service we received.

I came here a couple years ago, He will rip you off if you're a female. paid $80.00 for a smog My car didn't pass smog.... he said I would have to pay him $300.00 to fix a leak in my line. and another $50.00 to re smog my car after he fixed the leak. I drove my car to LA that day, took it to a smog place there and paid $55.00 What do you know it pass smog with flying colors. The leak in my gas line he was going to charge me $300.00 for ended up costing me $30.00 to fix. You're a JERK !! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!!!!!

I have been going to thrifty smog over 10 years with my vehicles. chevy 2500hd, mitsubishi outlander, chevy s10 and he always did great work. he is a smog expert not a communication expert! he's fast and gets your car out and has told what i need to do to make it pass.

I called to ask about a single repair cost and was immediately treated like I was an idiot. The man who answered began telling me about other things that would possibly need to be repaired once he "got in there". I said that I was only interested in hearing the cost of the actual repair I called about and was told "that's fine if you just want the car to run for half a year". Why would I risk going to this place. I guess I would be an idiot if I went there since he is letting me know upfront that he will be "finding other repair costs". No thanks!
