I wanted a engine for a work boat and purchased a 90 hp that Jack told... read more I wanted a engine for a work boat and purchased a 90 hp that Jack told me was a "great engine with good compression" knowing I didn't want to spend a bunch of money but wanted a reliable engine Jack sold me his engine for $2,500.00 .... I trusted Jack and his mechanic put it on my boat ... His mechanic told me what a good,reliable engine it was. After purchase I went to the boat dock and after driving it 1/4 of a mile -- it stalked never to work again !!! I had a mechanic look at it and was told it was complete junk. It wasn't worth $200 !!! The mechanic told me the engine had signs of running extremely hot for long periods of time and pointed out melted components .... He told me "no reputable mechanic would ever sell this engine to anybody " Of course when I called Jack he immediately told me "what did you do to it -- and failed to offer any resolution to the situation .... After the initial call -- he has refused to even answer my calls again ..... If you are looking to get ripped off -- this is your place --- stay away Jack and his mechanic are cooks
I had a horrible experience thanks to Mark Roberts. After waiting days... read more I had a horrible experience thanks to Mark Roberts. After waiting days to hear if I had been approved for a bank loan, I drove over after specifically telling Mark to have ALL of the paperwork ready. I still ended up wasting an hour because NOTHING was ready. I was then told that they couldn't approve me because they dropped the price by a couple hundred dollars and they needed to get approval from the bank again. Since when does the bank need to re-approve a loan for less money? I left. After two phone calls, I decided to come back since I got a great interest rate. I once again tell him to have everything ready, but he only has 3 pieces of paper ready and he tells me that now we have to wait for someone else to print out the important paperwork that should have been printed already. My mother was upset and they had an argument in the middle of the showroom and Mark called her a "mean person" and told her that I didn't have to buy the car. I don't know how this guy still has a job. Either his boss doesn't know how horrible of a salesman he is or his boss doesn't care. Congratulations Phillips Toyota! You just lost the future business of a 23 year old. Good job Mark (can you sense the sarcasm?)!
