The quote had things that have already been replaced like ac compressor and and a headgasket that has no miles on it because i changed it my self before i brought it in .. I trimmed the quote down to 1400 and the deposit was 500 i thought that is pretty high...but i paid it..against my better judgement because i could feel the racist mentality when i came into the shop to talk about the repairs to my car in nov 2018 .i believe since they couldn't prey on an uninformed black car owner they chose to let my car sit for 2 months and when i called for an update on feb 13, 2019, they informed me that its best to come get my car and that they haven't done any work
My wife took her Honda in for an oil change at the location. Several ... read more My wife took her Honda in for an oil change at the location. Several months later she went to the Honda dealer for oil change etc. The dealer mechanic showed us the stripped threads for the oil pan - the pan could not be used and had to be replaced. The dealer mechanic noted on the $600 invoice that it had been stripped by the last person to change the oil - Crabapple Exress Oil. I took the oil pan to the Crabapple Express Oil and the manager admitted the threads were stripped but refused to compensate my wife in any way. Ive taken the issue to the Area Manager and was dismissed out of hand. I called corporate but no response. This location and company take no responsibility for errors they admit they made.

Scotty and Bobby are great. Scotty - the lead mechanic is absolutely phenomenal! If you are looking for an HONEST mechanic (And lets be real - they are difficult to come by!) Scotty is the guy you need to see. He will tell you exactly what is wrong and what it will take to fix the issue. He, along with the rest of the staff at this Express Oil Change are always honest and will truly go above and beyond in customer satisfaction. I have seen some of the reviews regarding $40 an oil change, yes is not the '$21 special' at other places, but other places will recommend 'fixes' that do not need to happen and will get you on other charges at the end of the day. These guys do an honest job, they check your car fully and will not lie to you about 'made up or fake' issues. They are all extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. I have been taking multiple cars to them for over 8 years and would NEVER go elsewhere. As I mentioned, finding an honest mechanic is beyond difficult! So if, after getting your oil changed by the knowledgeable and friendly, non pushy staff, they happen to find an issue you need to get checked out - I can guarantee that Scotty the lead mechanic will be honest with you in getting it fixed. Bobby the store manager is also a great guy and very much knows his stuff and the industry. Express Oil Change in Crabapple is by far the place to go if you want friendly and fast service and most importantly - honesty about an issue with you car and its issues if it is having any. I have been going here for years and will continue to do so. Thank you to Scotty, Bobby and the team there for everything they do!
