I brought my 1975 Corvette to Darrel Hadley, owner of Master Tech in June 2010 to perform what should have been simple bumper cover replacement with paint.The job was estimated to take one week, and took 2 months to get it to a point of semi completion. Darrel also wanted additional monies for the work described further in this review. Additionally the car has the Master Tech induced issues listed below. Prior to writing this review, and removing my car from Master Tech I pointed out the issues to Darrel, and asked that they be rectified. He did not correct the issues and told me the work was acceptable to him. The issues are as follows: CORVETTE lettering mis aligned, Two Cracks in Fender, Various runs in paint, and what appears to be burns in paint on rear bumper from over buffing or not enough paint. AT this point the work performed by Master Tech will need to be redone and additional fender repair, and painting is necessary. Please be cautious if considering Master Tech Collision and Restoration.

The staff at Awesome are a very friendly, fair and honest group. Sitting on the fence of keeping or getting rid of my 90s Toyota that I enjoy driving to this day, I decided to get a quote from them based on recommendations about their very competitive pricing, customer service, and my preference to support small business. The car had a massive oil leak, so I knew it would be costly. They took great care in finding all of the potential leaks and changed the timing belt for an excellent price that wasn't as bad as I had thought. We were on our way to Chicago earlier this week when we got stuck in a traffic jam. A woman working at a local restaurant noticed that our car was leaking oil. KAR service was close to the train station, so we brought it in and explained our situation. We were able to leave our vehicle with KAR; walk to the train station and go have our mini-vacation while KAR fixed our car up. The man we spoke with was polite and worked with our situation. When we got back from Chicago we simply walked back to KAR and picked up our vehicle. Great customer service that helped make the best of a bad situation.

Alternator took a dump, found this mechanic shop in Plainfield, IL, near me, towed it in and bam got lucky left 3 hours later. This Plainfield auto repair shop is on top of their game. Thanks for getting me in and back on the road so quick and cost effectively.

Since their technician did such a good job with my 2005 BMW X3 over the summer, I decided to bring my 2010 Acura TL to change out all fluids, and replace brakes and suspension all around. The total bill was about a third less than what I was quoted from my dealer and 20% less than Firestone and Pep Boys. I'd recommend these folks to anyone who owns a foreign vehicle which is no longer covered by warranty. Forget the HIGH cost of dealerships, and come to Mobile Auto Tech.
