With all the horror stories you hear about other mechanics, it is refreshing to have such honest and courteous mechanics right in our backyard. Brandon and his crew have been servicing my wife's car for the past year and a half and it's been an awesome experience. Do yourself and your car a favor and check them out. You will not regret it. -Samuel

I towed my diesel pickup truck into Buddy and his mechanics in the winter of January 2012 to fix a problem with the transmission going into “Limp Mode” along with the associated Check Engine codes. It cost me $800+ to fix?? Approximately 4 days later the same problem came back again, so I took the truck back into Buddy’s mechanics to re-work the issue, and since it was so soon there was no charge. Buddy couldn’t tell me what his mechanics did to fix it and the receipt didn’t say, but he assured me that he test drove it again just fine. The next winter (2013) with the same snowy conditions, the EXACT same symptoms & Check Engine codes, I took it in to Buddy again to get it fixed. After being charged $600+ this time, and Buddy again would/could not tell me what they did to supposedly fix the problem, and the mechanics already left for the day….AGAIN!...., I refused to go back to them anymore!! I should have forced these people who’ve been in business this long to give me a receipt that had a total breakdown of the services performed, and the parts I paid for! Well I guess I learned a hard lesson! So of course, this past winter with the big snow we had here in February 2014, the same thing started happening all over again, but this time getting increasingly worse, even if I hit a small bump in the road the “Check Engine” light & “Limp Mode” occurred to the point where I couldn’t drive it! So I got fed up and simply googled the symptoms and I found out (…from several diesel forums) that when snow, slush and ice got compacted onto an older NSBU switch, it can cause this exact problem, especially when it starts corroding from the buildup, salt, etc… . So I replaced the switch and all works well now for a FRACTION of the cost!!! Oh yeah, I didn't leave for the day before telling you what I did to FIX THE PROBLEM! ......... And better yet, I'M NOT A MECHANIC!!! GO FIGURE!
