Complaint Description:
On 8/18/14 my veh. was in for repair at EuroPro Of Chas SC. After 15 months and a BOTCHED JOB. Oil leaks & car going dead in traffic still!! Car in for Repairs @ EuroPro of Charleston SC on 8/18/14 w/ a promised of a 7 day job/turn around to repair Balance Shaft w/ CAMSHAFT GEAR added to claim later on. After a month and more that 20 + phone calls to EuroPro, $930.00 in rental car fees (not covered by CNA National Warranty Corporation (they only covered the 1st 10 dys). And a heated conversation w/ Ken “Cal” Baker in the lobby area with the service manager/technician and a customer present, I stated to him that he has refused to take ownership of the length of time my Veh. was there and that we had spoken in reference to the rental car and he assured me that CNA National warranty would cover my rental car fees. I then stated to him that if my car is ready, i will just pay my bill. ($701.00 paid). On 10-8-14 i called and spoke Techncial/Service Manager - (who completed the work on my Veh.) ref. my Veh. is still running poorly just as it was b/4 the Balance Shaft Replacement/Camshaft gear work was done and that the veh. is leaking oil. I was instructed to bring the car in again when I had time. At this point, I have made over 10 trips to EuroPro, called & spoke w/ CNA Warranty Corporation- which kept instructing me to contact EuroPro because they completed the work on my Veh. I left  my Veh. again at EuroPro for continued issues w/ poor running and Check Engine light and oil leak. Rental car fees: $208.84 (my out of pocket). Camshaft Timing Adjusters - Replaced both Intake and Exhaust Adjusters replace, 10-17-14 to 10-24-14. My cost ($218.33) out of pocket). About 30 phone calls and 8 more visit to EuroPro the issues w/ Check Engine, Oil leak, poor running and Veh. going dead in traffic has continued. 3-3-15 car in to EuroPro w/ same issues, Replaced passenger side rear camshaft plug & cam magnet. (Under warranty). Still oil leak, poor running continues. 3-12-15 Car in to EuroPro - Check engine light, poor running oil leak. Same code  w/ Intake Manifold replaced (warranty $995) my Deductible $300.00). From March 2015 to May 11th 2015, same issues w/ poor running, oil leak, visits to EuroPro. Mid May 11 or 15th, 2015 my Veh. was dropped off to EuroPro for same issues, May 24th I spoke w/ Service Manager  ref. he asked if I mind if the my Veh. be shipped to the Florence Store because they have more Technicians. I stated yes, if they are able to fix it. EuroPro this time provided a rental  Vehicle for that time period to June 8th 2015. Invoice from EuroPro of Florence states Balance Shaft repaired at  EuroPro of Charleston location. Florence EuroPro repaired Camshaft Adjusters (4) & CrankShaft Seal (4). On June eight, I met with Florence representative and exchanged Veh. At my work location and as soon as I turned the key, the check engine light came on. I immediately calld Service Manager at EuroPro of Charleston  in ref. to the same. He stated he would call the technician that delivered the veh. and let me know the outcome. Veh. back in to EuroPro of Charleston with same outcome. July 7-8 2015 Veh. at EuroPro: Oil leak, poor running, check engine light. Rental car fees ($113.45) my out of pocket. July to October 2015 more phone calls and visits to EuroPro. 10-9-15 I called EuroPro and requested Cal Baker number and I then called and lmvm for Cal to return my call. 10-12-15 I received v/m message from Cal Baker and I returned his call in ref. to the continued issues w/ the service I received on my car at his business since day one and that it's obvious that the job was BOTCHED from the start. His response was that he thought I was going to sell my car. I responded with " how can I sell a car if its not running right and with oil leaks". His response was not one of how can I make this right but, it's my fault that I kept my vehicle! I then informed him if he's not willing help with this situation that he was a part of from the beginning that I would file a small claims or BBB compliant and he then stated " my threats don't mean anything to him and to give it my best shot". Note: My Veh. is at EuroPro at this time 10-14-15 cont- 

cont- 10-14-15 I received a call from EuroPro of Charleston, that they have tried to replacing the seal, oil pan, and will need (3) days to repair the leak that seems to be coming from the back of the engine. I told him to go ahead at this point. I called on 10-16-15 / 10-21-15 for status on my Veh. and was told still working on it! 10-26-15 I spoke w/ EuroPro of Charleston and was informed that they couldn't get the leak to stop. I replied what is next then? He replied that I could have Veh. repaired somewhere else. I informed him to take it to Baker Mercedes down the street and to let me know when this happens. 10-28-15 I called EuroPro of Charleston and stated that I haven’t heard anything on Veh. and was then given a call back w/ a point of contact at Baker. 10-28-15 I then called and spoke w/ Service Tech. at Baker and verified my Veh. was there. I also let them know I would stop by after work to explain my concerns. 11-5-15 Work was completed at Baker Mercedes Motor Company with revealing information on issues found that I wasn't surprised about. 
I'm still having the poor running and Check engine light issues just yesterday. Due to the evidence at this point! Some of the out of pocket expenses include  Rental cars: 8-19-14 for $64.48 8-21-14 for $77.00 8-29-14 to 9-19-14 for $788.66 10-17-14 to 10-21-14 for $208.84 7-8-15 for $113.45 10-23-15 to 10-28-15 for $187.04 Misc: Cement Cleaner for Garage $41.38 due to oil leaks. Diagnostic cost for second opinion on Check engine light is: $40.00 Total - $1520.85 – Fees paid directly for repairs not covered by CNA Warranty = $1224.31. not to mention time off from work, catching  a ride to and from work when I didn’t have rental car. Cost to repair Botched job estimated at $4500.00.
