Yesterday I went to the S Lamar Jiffy Lube (a store I have patronized for over 10 years) to get an inspection. I was told the inspector was not in. I left. This morning I called to find out if the inspector was in and was told by a mechanic that he was and that he would be doing inspections all day. I thanked the mechanic and told him I'd be coming down in the afternoon. When I arrived about 3 o'clock I was told that there would be no more inspections today as the inspector was busy with other tasks. When I told the mechanic I had called first before coming down he looked at me and said nothing. I asked for the manager, got an assistant who informed me the district manager had instructed him to stop inspections. I asked for the district manager and was given the name Mark Rowberry 512-850-9373. I left a message asking for a return call. I haven't heard from him. It doesn't appear that they care about it. I will go elsewhere for my oil changes and inspections.
