One of Dave's employees used ACID on my Weld Racing Chrome Rims. They etched the rims and they are ruined. $2,500.00 of rims trashed. Dave made payments (he must not have insurance) he paid $200.00 towards the $2,500.00 He has stopped making payments and has abandoned me. I would not allow him to touch my car for fear that he would trash it as well. You will be left out in the cold. Stay clear of this company.

    FORD OF CLERMONT service dept is run by crooks, liars and theives. I t... read more FORD OF CLERMONT service dept is run by crooks, liars and theives. I took my 2002 Tbird in for servicing as I needed a new battery and I also wanted to get my engine fan coolant reservoir flushed, drained and new fluid put in as I accidentally poured a few ounces of water in it by mistake. The service dept told me that the bearings in the engine fan were shot and that I need to replace the engine fan assembly as well as the coolant reservoir. Parts were $611 for the fan assembly and $122 for the coolant reservoir. Labor was quoted as $800 and they charged me a $90 diagnostic fee as well. I declined to have the fan assembly and coolant reservoir replaced but did have them install the battery which cost $114.99. I had a coupon from FORD for a battery for $84.99 but Ford of Clermont wouldn't honor it. So I paid $114.99 plus $90 for diagnostic tests. I took my tbird to Griffis Autos in Groveland to have them check it out. They did a full diagnostic test on the engine, fan, etc and also visually inspected the fan motor. They said there was no damage to the bearing, fan, motor, etc. They also drained the coolant reservoir as I requested, replaced fluid......total cost $70. I have driven car several hundred miles with no issues of overheating, etc. FORD OF CLERMONT LIED and tried to get me to purchase a fan assemby and reservoir and spend over $1500 on repairs I didn't need. LIARS and THIEVES. DO NOT take your car there....If you have a Ford or a Lincoln go to Griffis auto in Groveland. Honest, ethical and they have all the diagnostic equipment Ford has. The owner was head mechanic at Ford Of Clermont for over 20 yrs. I am in no way affiliated with Griffis but am so thankful to them for saving me a ton of money for repairs I didn't need. As far as Ford of Clermont goes, I will do my best to tell everyone to avoid them like the plague! Jim L. Clermont

  • On Friday July 13,2012 I had an appointment to trade in and purchase a... read more On Friday July 13,2012 I had an appointment to trade in and purchase a new vehicle with Tropical Ford Motor company. Upon arrival I was introduced to a sales man named. I was interested in the new Ford Focus, but ended up not caring for that vehicle. Kader showed me a few other vehicles, but nothing was satisfying for me. The last vehicle Kader showed me was what I thought a 2009 Ford Freestyle because that's what he had told me. We test drove the car it seemed fine when he took it off the lot. I only drove the car 45mph. We returned to the dealer he said he didn't do the numbers and he would have another gentleman by the name of Carlos fill out the paper work. Carlos came to me and said they were going to take my trade in pay it off and I would drive off with the Ford Freestyle. He said I worked out the best deal and I signed off on the papers. When I left the dealer I drove my vehicle on the high way. The high way speed was min. 65 and as I was starting to increase my speed to 55 I started to notice that the vehicle was dragging when I step on the gas and the car started to shake. It continued to do this as I increased to 60. Another thing I noticed was when I back the car up the steering wheel feels hard when starting to turn the wheel it does not glide. It also makes a whistling noise when I turn the wheel as well. When I returned home I was looking over my paper work and I also notice the vehicle was a 2005 instead of a 2009. Immediately the next morning I called Mr. Fall on his cell phone and I didn't get an answer. I tried several times to get in touch with him on his phone left messages for him to call back and he never did. I then decided to call the store up and have them transfer me over to speak with him. The receptionist would place me on hold and then tell me he's busy with a client or in a meeting and he would call me back. She also asked me what was my calling in reference to and I had explained to her my situation. I continued to call Kader up to Mo
