What ever you do, don't take your vehicle here. I went to check the status of my atv and my parts were sitting in the dirt...bearings and all. Worst of all they cross threaded the bolt that went through the axel. Furthermore, they put the bolt in on the wrong side of the axel and told me I was wrong for pointing it out...like I can't read a schematic..

I was stranded on the side of the road and they saved me a tow fee when they came and put a new alternator on. I checked prices around and they were in line with the shops, but they came to me. What a wonderful service.

Honest and dependable! I found Capital City Auto Repair after a "car emergency" that required me to find a repair shop in a hurry. I am so glad that Capital City Auto Repair was there. They did a great job on my car, and the work was done efficiently and in a timely manner. The price can't be beat! I will NEVER go anywhere else for a mechanic from now on. These guys are hard-working, fast, family-owned, extraordinarily friendly, and most importantly honest. They do a great job at a fair price. My Rav4 needed an alternator/belt and google recommended D T's Garage Auto Repair to me. I called Friday morning and they said come on in. This was after another mechanic in Tallahassee did not return my calls and was overpriced as well. After I got there, they went over it and showing me the old belt and alternator, then they fixed my vehicle quickly as I waited. The mechanic checked the vehicle from front to back and I was treated like I mattered. I also asked them about some other problems and they did not charge me for anything extra. Most places try to sell extras or add-ons but they did not try to sell anything that I did not need. These guys understand customers and how to manage a local mechanic shop! All around trusting, good-natured team! I’ll never take my car anywhere else as long as I am in Tallahassee. Thank you!

Roger “guarantees” his work, but when I called to tell him that my AC was not working that he had just replaced three days earlier, he told me after examining it, that I had an electrical problem and he doesn’t work on that. His man stood me up twice at Rogers shop, Then again at his own home.The mechanic out front of Roger charge me to fix it and did not fix the problem at all. He avoided any attempt of my communication with him after he got paid. I will not condone Rogers work or his recommendations because one is just as lame as the other. You should avoid this man. He hung up on me as I told him the problem;he didn’t wanna hear it, and then had the audacity to tell me I had a bad attitude. Keep in mind Roger took me for $600, and my new air conditioner didn’t work but for two days! His guarantee is completely lame! Avoid him!

I recently had a new power steering pump and hose install in my car by Adams street service center. After my car is service, with in the first twenty minutes My brand new power steering hose pops. I instantly took my car back to get re-service. They install a new my hose in my car, however, the owner tried to charge me for the re-installation. In addition, the mishap of the hose affected my power steering pump. My pump started making this loud whining noise after they install the second new hose in my car. The store in which I purchased the vehicle from exchange said they would exchange my new pump for the old pump inform Adams service center of the news and they basely told me that they would have to charge me for the labor of taking damage the pump out and installing the new pump. So basely they still wanted to charge me for the labor of re-installing the new pump, after their mess up. I strongly recommend you to stay away from this shop. After this encounter with Adams street service center, I spoke with four different people that inform me that they had bad experience with them as well. I give Adams street service center a rating of negative five.

I brought my car into to have an oil leak diagnosed, and replace a faulty oil pan. They replaced the gasket and oil pan and I provided the parts. It was still leaking so I returned it several times over the next few months and they tightened the bolts, and another time they replaced the gasket and pan again with my supplied parts. Then they convinced me that the Rear Main seal was the partial cause of the oil leaks also, and they charged me to replace the Rear Main and suggested that the crank shaft probably had a groove formed under the seal and that a product called a Repair Sleeve would be needed. I purchased the parts and they did the work. When they started up the car the oil leave from the rear main was pouring out!! They had put the repair sleeve in improperly, so I had to go and purchase another one. I showed them the manufactures procedures for installing the sleeve, and the owners father got mad at me and told me to get the hell out and not to tell them how to do their job! They did not follow the manufacturer procedure for repair and it still leaks a small amount. When I returned to pick up the car to guarantee that it was not leaking, due to this being about the 4th time I had to return, the owner Dave REFUSED to let me inspect the car and demanded only cash, no check, no credit card, then he told me that the work would NOT be guaranteed either and took the keys hostage. I reluctantly paid the bill and drove a few blocks and inspected the underneath and found that it was still leaking!!! I immediately took the car to Der Meister auto repair who inspected the car for free ,and we filmed the condition underneath. It had 5 oil pan nuts that were loose and leaking. Der Meister tightened up the nuts to spec and two wouldnt tighten at all because they were tight as could be. When I drove off I also found that the car wouldnt shift gears when it was running! They had let air into the clutch lines when the installed the Clutch while they did the rear main. I called them the next day as it was after 5pm now, and they told me to drive it to their shop and they would look at it!! Seriously! Drive it there! To have these idiots work on it again!? I had paid Tire Town and Muffler to stop the oil pan leaks, and apparently they wouldnt guarantee the Repair Sleeve work. The oil pan was still leaking. And they refused to fix it. I had Honda Dealership inspect and they determined that the oil pan was leaking and removed the lock washers that Tire Town and Muffler had put on the pan, and this appeared to stop the leak. Upon inspection the gasket was torn in several places , in the exact locations of the leaking nuts observed prior when Der Meister looked at it. Tire town refused to reimburse me for charging me and the repair not being completed, and them refusing to work on the car further. These people are scum. Do not take your car there!! They lied about what had happened, were not capable of changing an oil pan and gasket, nor putting on a repair sleeve properly. I told me that I would have to sue them to get the money back!! Even after I showed them the damaged oil pan gasket, they claimed that someone damaged it after I left them. However it was leaking immediately after I left them and gasket was damaged in the exact places of the leaks!! They will be super nice at the counter to get your work then they are jerks later.

This is a shoddy business! They prey on college students, convincing and forcing them to have their car towed to their shop, then they charge you for everything possible. I heard of it happening to other students, but then it happened to me and my son this weekend. Rude, conniving, shoddy business....stay away from this business!!!! I would given them a negative star rating if possible, but I'm forced to at least give one.

Do not go to Firestone Complete Auto Care located at 2211 Apalachee Parkway Tallahassee, FL 32301. I basically paid $100 diagnostic fee just to turn a simple sensor problem into couple thousand engine problem. Not only did they add 1000+ miles to my odometer (showing on their report) but they took more than a week before allowing me to take my vehicle for second opinion. The store manager wanted to take a second look and insisted for more time to double check their diagnosis when I declined their $500+ estimate to fix the sensor issue. Immediately after taking it to another Repair Shop, the new mechanic (who was highly referred) told me the vehicle arrived with no oil and the absence of oil caused major damage to engine. It would now cost me $1,300 to $2,000 to replace engine. Firestone Complete Auto Care checked-off on their list the vehicle arrived with oil and all fluid levels were good. I had the vehicle towed to the other Repair Shop and it was impossible the oil leaked-out without anyone noticing. The fact the vehicle was in possession at Firestone Complete Auto Care for 10 days and they did not mention any oil leaks is suspicious. I did complain to Firestone Headquarters who prompted the Arbitration Process and my case was assigned to Di L. Rogers. Mr. Rogers said after reviewing the Independent Claim Adjuster's report, he would make a decision but soon after receiving it, he either quit or was fired. They reassigned my case to Gil Leon who claimed the Independent Claim Adjuster who THEY HIRED sided towards Firestone Complete Auto Care but I was not allowed a copy of the Independent Claim Adjuster's Report (or even have his telephone number to verify it's accuracy) claiming it was a "In-House Document". It is disturbing what occurred, the fact is I purchased my vehicle new and the warranty well-maintained my vehicle. The Extended Warranty was good for another 3 years or 30,000 miles. The warranty just did not cover the minor issue, i.e. sensor.

Mechanics don't know what their doing! My son took his car here due to a noise in the rear. He was told the wheel bearings were making noise. He picked up his car, crossed town and the noise was back.... He took it back and they tried telling him it was now the timing belt that was the problem. Luckily he read their BS and left. Took it to another mechanic and the PROBLEM was the DRIVESHAFT U JOINTS!!!!!! Any 1st year auto technician should have been able to know what the problem was by just listening to the noise!!! Spoke to the manager, this was a $500.00 error that they refused to fix. They took total advantage of a poor College kid!

I sent my daughter there to have a code read on her mazda. They charged her $162.00 to change a hose; 95 for hose and the rest for driving to get part and to fix. Oh they also helped themselves to Arby's while driving on my dime. Too many mechanics out there to put up with this crap.
