5 starI was fortunate to spend Spring Break at Disney with my 3 boys along with my dad and Diane. Got to see fellow Kankakee County people there as the Marching Boilers marched in a parade at the Magic Kingdom and had a super great time. On our way back, apparently due to shotty work done during an oil change here, my mini van had some problems and my boys and I were stuck in Mt Vernon Illinois yesterday not sure we would make it home today or even by Monday. I was given a name, David Parker, owner of Parker Automotive, in Woodlawn IL just west of Mt Vernon on HWY 15. He made sure our van was brought out to him and stayed late on Good Friday to let me know what was wrong. Luckily it is nothing major, just something that occurred during my oil change here. David showed the true meaning of Easter. This morning looking at being stuck in a hotel room til Monday, he lent me a car to drive us back so we can be home for Easter. Our car is two years old and had about 10,500 miles on it at the time this happened. Auffenberg Hyundai changed our oil and did not put oil in the car before letting my wife drive off. She drove 2 miles. She took the car back and they basically put oil in the car and rushed her out as to keep things quiet. After I got involved they wrote a letter stating Auffenberg will cover the engine to 100K miles but according to the warranty if I have a problem and have to take it someplace else it is not covered if it is deemed lack of oil is the cause. I asked them if they would do a complete engine tear down to inspect and they stated that if they did not find anything wrong they would charge me $2000. I then asked for a new engine. They said if they did that it would be a "Like Kind Quality" (LKQ) engine. I later found this meant it was going to come from a salvage yard. This is all for a problem they caused. And in the end we still had to pay for the oil change! Do not use their service department! Or for that matter buy a car from these people!

I ATTEMPTED TO GET A CAR WASH ON 3/17/2015 AND LOST $10.00 WITH NO CAR WASH - HOW DOES A PERSON GET A REFUND? NOT ATTENDANT ON DUTY AND I HAVE CALLED THE NUMBER LISTED, VARIOUS TIMES OF THE DAY AND NO ONE ANSWERS - VERY DISAPPOINTED AND UPSET................$10.00 LOST.
