These guys are great! Or shall I say guy, since I only met one, Ken. Went to have my windshield replaced after an accident. Very fair pricing. My family owns a glass shop in Billings Mt. Unfortunantly, Im in Helena. ***However, Same Quote.*** : ) He also gave me a ride to work since its my only vehicle and he would have come and gotten me if a coworker hadnt dropped me off there. It was all done in the same day. Looked perfect. And hes a very nice guy.

Took my son's truck in and they inspected it and said it needed a new transmission. They put a rebuilt in less then 6 months ago and now 800 miles later the transmission is broke again. Took it back in and they are telling me it will cost me 900 dollars to pay for labor. They said the u joints are bad and that it's why they are not replacing it for free as the warranty they gave me stated. They are ripping me off, they were paid to inspect and repair the truck. The u joints should have been inspected when they initially inspected the truck and replaced if they were worn. Plus, I have looked at my warranty work and the put down the incorrect year and odometer reading on the warranty,WHY? I am taking the truck to be inspected at another garage to verify I am being ripped off.

I went to J&D Trailer with a cracked axle. Upon picking up the trailer I noticed that they failed to install a bearing grease cap. When I looked closer I saw they had the wheel on inside out. That was a problem. I should have kept looking at the work performed. After about 200 miles I had a blow out. Upon inspection both of my new trailer tires were worn bald. I realized they had installed the axle incorrectly causing the tires to “tow in”. This was a rookie mistake and not one a professional trailer shop should have made. It turns out they had their new guy do the work and never checked what he did. This was just a light duty trailer, the fix was easy and the blow out didn’t cause any damage or lead to a wreck. Had this been a stock or boat trailer the ending might have been different. I asked them to refund enough of the labor costs to cover the new tires. I never heard from them again. If you are in Helena and have them do some work, make sure you check it out before hitting the road. They might have the “Knowledge and the Tools” as they say but they are just sloppy. Don’t trust your life to them.

We had some work done and I was astonished at the cost of the parts. We were told that parts markup was 50%. I looked into it and found out exactly how much the parts that were put on our vehicle cost the shop, and the markup turned out to be 100%. Core charges were assumed as profit. Not exactly a strait shooter or ethical way of conducting business.

I recently went to Uptown Auto Sound and Security for some audio upgrades in my truck. Steve was a great guy to deal with and did a great job of installing my deck and speakers in my truck in a timely professional manner. His prices are very reasonable and he fits the audio system to suit your needs as a listener. I would highly recommend giving him a call for any of your car audio needs. I am sure that Steve would be able to answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction for picking out the proper equipment that would increase your sound system.
