Two years ago I stepped foot into Sanders Auto Parts and Service for the first time. From my very first encounter there I was never treated as just a number, from the owner and down the line I have always been treated as family. The level of customer service provided is phenomenal as well as their quality of work. I have never had to take any vehicle back after work was performed. The price of parts and labor are extremely fair. The staff hold true their word. If they say they will call you back in a few minutes with more information, they do. I have never waited to hear back more than 10 minutes. This is the place to go if you ever need any work done. When I am asked if I know of a shop, I always tell the person to go to Sanders.

I AM FROM FLORIDA VISITING MY GRANDKIDS,ON MY WAY HERE TO JACKSONVILLE MY CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS ALL OVER THE ROAD.SO I WENT TO A SHOP ON MARINE BLVD IN JACKSONVILLE,NC CALLED "MERCHANTS AUTO REPAIR" AT MERCHANT'S I ASKED THEM TO LOOK AT MY CAR AND CHECK THE FRONTEND ALIGNMENT TO MAKE SURE THE ALIGNMENT WAS GOOD OR BAD.FIRST THEY HAVE SOMEONE LOOK AT MY CAR THAT JUST STARTED EMPLOYMENT THERE. HE PROCEDED TO CHECK MY FRONTEND. NEXT THE SERVICE ADVISOR TELLS ME I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY INNER TIE ROD ENDS TO WORN OUT TO GIVE ME A ALIGNMENT. I ASK HOW MUCH FOR REPAIR TO JUST DO MY INNER TIE ROD ENDS TO MY SURPRISE HE GIVES ME A QUOTE OF (LISTEN TO THIS AND REMEMBER THE PRICE) 400.00 DOLLARS TO JUST DO INNER TIE ROD ENDS. I TOLD THEM THAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO INNER AND OUTER TIE ROD ENDS BUT THE PRICE I FELT AT THE TIME WAS TO MUCH..I GO TO NAPA AUTO PARTS TO BUY INNER AND OUTER TIE ROD ENDS WHICH INCLUDES 4 SEPERATE PARTS 2 INNER AND 2 OUTER FOR A PRICE OF $82.00 DOLLARS. I SEE THIS SIGN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THAT READS "JERRY'S AUTO REPAIR" SO I DECIDE TO STOP IN AND ASK HOW MUCH HE WOULD CHARGE TO INSTALL 2 INNER AND 2 OUTER TIE ROD ENDS TO MY SURPRISE THE QUOTE HE GIVES ME IS AMAZING $200.00 DOLLARS TO DO BOTH AND MERCHANTS WANTED TO CHARGE ME $400.00 DOLLARS JUST TO DO INNERS WOW WOW WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE..WAIT WAIT THATS NOT ALL..ONE OF JERRY'S EMPLOYEES CHECKS MY CAR AND SAY'S TO ME THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. Had Kings transmission of Snow Hill NC rebuild my transmission on referral from a friend. When Carl came to pick up the truck I told him I didn't want a transmission from another vehicle put in my truck, as the typically do, I wanted mine rebuilt and he could have the truck as long as he needed to do that as I have another vehicle to drive. He said he would do that, FIRST LIE. When I went to pick up the truck and asked him to see the broken parts he couldn't fine them. In fact he said " they probably already got shipped back to the company as they want to see the old part," SECOND LIE. Why would they want to see my parts and not all the other parts he had lying around? Took the truck home and when I drive it in town or my neighborhood it BANG shifts. This is not right so I took it back and left it with them. They called me up to pick it up and Carl and I took it out for a ride. With Carl driving he took off fast and hard and it shifted fine. I explained it only BANG shifts when your in town or in a neighborhood where you have to accelerate slowly. He said it was OK, THIRD LIE, it's not. Took it back a couple weeks later and he said it was the transfer case that was the problem. Since the truck has some miles on it I agreed as I figured the clutches and chain could use replacing. Got the truck back with the transfer case rebuilt and it whined so bad you could hear it over the radio. Took it back and they replaced it, probably with the original. Trans still shifted bad. Took it back for a bad vibration in the drive line an Carl called me to tell me it was the transfer case causing the vibration. When I told him they had just rebuilt it he changed and said it was a bad U joint. Took it back again and they said there could find nothing wrong with the transmission shifting. So now the warranty is off and I have a transmission that shifts so hard it rocks the vehicle. I spent 20 years in the early part of my life working on vehicles and have rebuilt many GM and Ford transmissions and never have I had one shift like this. I have put shift kits in transmissions for drag racing and never had a transmission shift like mine does. Bottom line I would NOT and DO NOT recommend Kings Transmission. My transmission is not right and they refuse to fix it because it's on their dime.

As you can tell from the headline, I consider my car my baby. It is an old girl, but I love it. My 2001 Chevy Malibu just wasn't running right. She was really showing her age. I took it a few places in Goldsboro, but no one could seem to figure out what was wrong. Either that or they didn't want to mess with it. I saw a flyer for AutoStar and decided to take one last shot before I had to bite the bullet and trade her in. I'm really glad I did because the people at AutoStar were great! Apparently I had some sort of electrical issue that was causing all the problems. Jesse checked it out for me and gave me an estimate the same afternoon. Not only were they able to keep me in my car, but they didn't break the bank either! Go see them today! I'm will not be going anywhere else for any of my car needs!

Took my vehicle in for a new set of tires. The wait was extremely long as they tell you no appointment needed. Show up early before 8 am, waited for 2 hours. I noticed when driving after the service my brakes seems different. I ended up with a flat tire not even a month later took vehicle back in and was charged. When I got home I looked at my vehicle and noticed that two of the tires that I purchased (new set) were different, so they changed two of my new tires for another brand. I am so done. This service center had a good reputation when I first started going there over 5 years ago. I don't know what happened, but I will not be going back.

cashier has nasty attitude and uses nasty language when working.I have no idea why shortstop keeps this person employed there but she needs to go.Shes always whining and complaining about her job.If she isnt happy to be employed. I know she isnt working.She gives shortstop a very bad name.And she needs to be ushered out the door.

#ashstreetautomotivecomplaints Worst mechanics I have ever had work done with in my 36 years of owning a vehicle. Brought my van in with leaking coolant. No misfiring at all. Got it back with engine light blinking and misfiring. Have receipt that states spark plugs were changed, removed and cleaned. But they refused to hold to there word of guaranteeing there parts and labor. And refused to fix!!!!!!! Terrible customer service. Uses God in every other sentence when God is no where to be found in his place of business. Joke. Spent over 1000 dollars just to get a no. Running vehicle back. With no real labor and parts guarantee. Unless I was to take to small claims court which may happen. Having two other mechanics write letter after also looking at the job they did.

Terrible cutomer service. If you want it done right do not use them. They will not fix it, if they mess it up.
