Had Kings transmission of Snow Hill NC rebuild my transmission on referral from a friend. When Carl came to pick up the truck I told him I didn't want a transmission from another vehicle put in my truck, as the typically do, I wanted mine rebuilt and he could have the truck as long as he needed to do that as I have another vehicle to drive. He said he would do that, FIRST LIE. When I went to pick up the truck and asked him to see the broken parts he couldn't fine them. In fact he said " they probably already got shipped back to the company as they want to see the old part," SECOND LIE. Why would they want to see my parts and not all the other parts he had lying around? Took the truck home and when I drive it in town or my neighborhood it BANG shifts. This is not right so I took it back and left it with them. They called me up to pick it up and Carl and I took it out for a ride. With Carl driving he took off fast and hard and it shifted fine. I explained it only BANG shifts when your in town or in a neighborhood where you have to accelerate slowly. He said it was OK, THIRD LIE, it's not. Took it back a couple weeks later and he said it was the transfer case that was the problem. Since the truck has some miles on it I agreed as I figured the clutches and chain could use replacing. Got the truck back with the transfer case rebuilt and it whined so bad you could hear it over the radio. Took it back and they replaced it, probably with the original. Trans still shifted bad. Took it back for a bad vibration in the drive line an Carl called me to tell me it was the transfer case causing the vibration. When I told him they had just rebuilt it he changed and said it was a bad U joint. Took it back again and they said there could find nothing wrong with the transmission shifting. So now the warranty is off and I have a transmission that shifts so hard it rocks the vehicle. I spent 20 years in the early part of my life working on vehicles and have rebuilt many GM and Ford transmissions and never have I had one shift like this. I have put shift kits in transmissions for drag racing and never had a transmission shift like mine does. Bottom line I would NOT and DO NOT recommend Kings Transmission. My transmission is not right and they refuse to fix it because it's on their dime.

What a wonderfull, courteous, anowlageable group of people. The owner and his wife were there while I had the service done and they were so professional. Mike the manager was the one who discussed and showed me everything on my vehicle. He made me feel very comfortable and physically showed me all the services that where needed. It was nice to be shown the service needed instead of being told that I can't see because of insurance reasons (like the dealer). I knew that I was not being taken advantage of. I will definately be a lifetime customer and tell everyone I know.

It took 9 days to do a 4 hr job. He never kept me abreast about my car. I had to keep checking with him. I drove by the shop on a day it was supposed to be closed (Saturday) and noticed someone working on my car. The person working on it was a mechanic who no longer worked there. On Monday I spoke to the owner, and was informed that my vehicle is fixed except the check engine light is on. He stated that he would diagnose it and get back to me...he never did. I again went to his shop days later to see that my car was still parked in the bay after ours. The next days it was parked behind his shop fenced in. I decided that I was going to get my car so I went back on that Friday. After hiding and speaking to someone on his cell phone he decided to offer mey car. After paying, he wanted to point out my air intake as if it had anything to do with the job he did. After 1.5 hrs, the check engine light came on giving me 2 new codes. Prior to this establishment touching my car I had no such issues. Beware! Shady!

DO NOT GO HERE for a car wash unless you want your car damaged. I have been to this wash many times with my vehicle and my other family members vehicles. The last time I went there, the machine ripped the drivers side rear view mirror off the vehicle. When I went to the manager Chris Tyndall he told me he would do nothing to help me. As a result, I am boycotting ALL Shell related businesses. Thanks to Chris, a Gas Mart that sells Shell gasoline has now lost a customer. I used to stop their DAILY and refuel my company vehicle. Also, the 5 vehicles in my family will no longer visit any Shell related businesses. Thanks for nothing Chris!! Have a nice life!!

Unless buy here pay here is your only option available, I would avoid this place at all costs. Purchased an 04 Acura TL from them and transmission blew in the beginning of 7th month. Called to see if they would help and was lied to by Margaret who stated they would go 50/50 with me. They had the car for almost two months with me paying $32/ day rental car($1600) and would never respond and always give a reason why someone couldnt speak with me. Then denied saying theyd go half with me and said that the half of repair would go on the end of loan. Finally upon picking the car up they denied even saying that and made me sign another loan, subsequently raising my payments $100 a month. IT GETS WORSE, 30 mins after picking it up the dash board lights up like a Christmas Tree. ABS, CHECK ENGINE< VSA< "!" all lights pop up. Send an e-mail and no response again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.I have never been behind on any payments and am a very reasonable person.

Very Poor. I will never go there again!
