Auto repair service near Lafayette, NY

Originally I was told I would have to wait a couple of weeks to have the gasoline leak repaired on my Alfa Romeo because they were swamped with vehicles for repair. But not so! I was called within the week that my sports car was ready to be picked up, all fixed and ready to drive once again. Wonderful news!

This shop is not a 'custom' shop. I stopped by to ask about a custom exhaust. I was given an appointment. I showed up for the appointment and they put my truck on the lift to take a look. The technician knew what I was asking for and seemed competent. The 'owner' then told me he wasn't comfortable installing my exhaust system. I'm not sure what he meant and I was not given a real reason why, other than 'it's November'. I was treated like an idiot and I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

If you need work done to your car or truck bring it to Sam’s Auto body these guys their do great work. I brought my SUV to them for work that other people would try milk you dry for. The work that needed to be done was very time consuming and lets just say a lot of custom work involved. When they were done I couldn’t be any happier. The work was done perfect nobody can even tell I had work done unless I tell them I did, witch is what I was going for. Yes, my SUV is not a show car or truck by any means but I had a problem and they fixed it thank you Sam’s auto body.

I have been going to John's Auto Care Inc. for a couple of years. They are always on top of every thing. They have been nothing but understanding, kind and courteous. They get your vehicles in and out. The work they have done on my vehicles has been outstanding. The new detailing service they have is great. They made my ten year old vehicle look like it was new. I would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the good work.

I never had a problem with this place until September 2012. I dropped my car off for an inspection. There was a new face at the desk. This person called me and told me that I needed $1,200 worth of work to pass inspection. I didn't believe him and took it to another reputable shop. My vehicle passed inspection with no problem. In fact, it even passed again today, for the second time. This place will rip you off.

We have been going to this station for 30 years. One of the morning attendants authorized the pump I was at unknowingly to me for whatever reason. The transaction went through normally with my debit card. I got back in my car and was pulling away when he ran out to my car yelling to stop. I stopped and he told me to come in and pay. I said fine and then he stood in front of my car telling me to back up and park where he wanted me to. I told him I was going to pull forward in front of the store. He argued with me to park where he wanted to me. Now I understand his point of view but I have been going there for years with this guy working and this is how they treat loyal customers. He acted as if I was going to pull away. Very disappointed that these days people you do business with almost daily don't recognize you then have the nerve to tell me never to come back because of his mistake. You just lost a loyal customer along with my family and friends. Bad business.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE as fast as you can. I wanted two Monroe load adjusting shocks installed in the rear of my Ford Freestar minivan. Online cost was $ 88 for TWO shocks. Here at Monro, they quoted me around $ 400 for the shocks and installation!!! Where in a rational world would TWO rear shocks cost FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS to install? Even if they marked up the shocks 50% that would make my cost $ 135. That leaves $ 265 FOR LABOR to install two rear shocks in about 15 minutes??? Businesses like this that try to fleece unsuspecting senior citizens shouldn’t be allowed to stay in business.
