Auto repair service near Bucyrus, OH

My motor idled rough when I went to this shop. They told me they checked electrical, changed ecu, fixed the exhaust (someone before had rubber hosing on it, hole in it), and fixed the vacuum lines. After the job, the car did idle correctly, but only for about a week. So I checked these areas worked on. There were still loose wires like I told them to fix. Idk if they changed the ecu but it looked old and it was just hanging down instead of in place like it should. All the vacuum lines were still old and had slight holes in them. The only thing they actually did was get the rubber hosing off of the exhaust and weld in a metal pipe, but they didn't even have the catalytic converter returning back to the motor like it should for better fuel economy. They cut the return line and plugged it with a large screw and solder. Charged me $520 for all of this work they said they did but didn't do. Will never come back to this rip off place. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Service Dept does not know what they are doing. They had my vehicle for over a month and ended up driving it with no oil and now the rod is knocking and when they changed the head gaskets the anti freeze went into my catlytic converter and clogged it. Refused responsibility and to repair the problem. Staff treats customers like they are stupid and dont know what they are talking about. STAY CLEAR of this place and its service dept.

January 31, 2018......I towed my car in with a transmission and starting problem. . I was told the problem was my starter and a tube had come loose in the transmission. 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee $494 later I was on my way. I might mention that I am handicapped and was not offered help removing the car from the tow bar though an employee outside did help when I picked it up. Well...The problem has returned. The same issue starting as when I was told the starter needed replaced. I called today 7/23/18 I called to let them know the car won't start and was told there is a one-year warranty on parts but only 6 months on labor and that mine is past the six months. From 1/31/18 to 7/23/18 .... not quite six months, someone needs to buy a calculator. The person I spoke to is Todd. He seems to hate the world. I called back to let him know that it was not six months from January and he decided to argue about the date when I told him I brought it in. He should have pulled it up and had the records in front of him. I don't trust Kevin's now and won't be going back for this repair. I feel Kevin’s, or I should say Todd needs to work on his people skills. With so much competition out there today, CUSTOMER SERVICE is the only way to survive. Losing a future customer for me, my family and anyone else that reads this and decides to go elsewhere over a simple starter problem which in all actuality should have been covered is no way to keep and get new customers. I am very disappointed in my handling as a current customer and will never be a repeat. I hope you don't have to follow up on any work done. It seems once Kevin gets your money they don't want to stand behind their work. BEWARE!!!!

I have had three vehicles repaired here and purchased one. The repairs were faster than I could get in Columbus and cost a lot less. Also purchased a salvage car...we knew it was salvage and what repairs were made. This is the ONLY body shop I would trust. In the middle of no where, but has top notch equipment such as a laser frame straightener.

OMG where do I start. The experience we had with this business was so very terrible! We paid over $600 for a remote start and amp install. First off, the professional installer called off sick the day of my install. The install of a remote start and an amp took 4 hours (was quoted 2 1/2 hours) come to find out it was the owner who did the very unprofessional install and provided very unprofessional customer service. The remote start would not start the car (had to disconnect the battery), remote would not start until Buick unlock button was used, tapped into the heater blower motor (heater would now only work on high) bypass function kept the car from starting normally. Tweeters were hot glued to the dash, who on earth would want that done? Tweeters were wired backwards, tweeter wiring was ran thru the fusebox causing the wires to be pinched.Tweeters were ran to the head unit and not the amp . Nor did they have capacitors to block low frequencies. I paid for 8 gauge wiring for the amp and he installed 14 gauge which is substandard. Amp was not installed under the seat as we requested, it was screwed to the subwoofer in the trunk. Amp was not properly grounded. The amp cable running along the dashboard was spliced with electrical tape. The wiring in the trunk was VERY sloppy. The fader did not fade. Dash was not reassembled properly, missing fasteners. Driver side kick panel is now hanging, as well as the valet switch. I was not offered the rear defroster option nor any other options. The trunk strap was broken off and just laying in the trunk. It was intact before they did any work in or around the trunk area. My husband was more than capable of doing this work himself but I wanted to pamper him and give him a Valentine's/Anniversary present and have the work done by a "professional" and I use that term loosely. When we went back two days after the install we asked to speak with the owner and found out that he was the one that actually did the install. He denied ever doing any work on our vehicle. He jerked the subwoofer around pulling on wires and such, acting in a very childish manor. We tried to discuss all of our concerns with him and he just denied that any of those things happened. We shared our typed up list with him and he threw it in the trunk. He ended up just walking away from us. It was all I could do to keep my husband from following him because I didn't feel like having to deal with the cops that day. I've never met an owner of a business who acted as unprofessional as this man did that day. It is clear that he remains in business because he basically has no competition in the immediate area and people don't check/post reviews. DO NOT do business with this person/business. I would highly advise anyone looking for car audio/tint work to look elsewhere and make a drive out of town to a more reputable business. Don't waste your time and money doing business here.

Honest people! Its so nice to find a place that treats people with respect and puts their needs/conserns first! The staff at this location are the nicest most honest people you will ever have work on your car!

Just went and got a fab deal on my alignment only $40.00 for front end alignment couldnt even believe it. It goes really well with the new tires I bought ...88.00 a piece for 235-75-15 ...seriously SAM and his team saved me tons of money over the years with their tire specials and repairs and treat me so well...I will never go any where else Thanks so much, Tabby ... has wrong address here actually 95 South Illinois Avenue Mansfield Ohio

I'm a long time customer of Button's. Todd has worked on many of my vehicles, not had any issues. He is also very reasonable on his prices.

got and oil change and then the complimentary car wash and when they were drying off the car and the interior they took my cigars I had laying on my seat. Not good for business. so if you go for a car wash make sure you don't leave anything because they will take it.

I think anyone who treats small DEFENCELESS animals like this should get the same thing DONE TO THEM!

Had to bring my car back multiple times to be fixed and was overcharged $400. First,E had new brakes put on, but had to return 3 straight times bc they were screeching so bad. Then needed a new back wheel bearing but was overcharged. Picked up the car and the abs traction light was on. Was told to drive it 20 miles and it would go off. It didn't so I had to bring it back again. Tech plugged it into the computer and tried telling me it was a stored code and the light was on BEFORE I brought it in which it wasn't. Had to come back again. They had ordered a part for a car with park assist which I didn't have, so they had to reorder the right part. I was not refunded the difference between parts ($20-$30) The workers blamed each other. The manager Bryan was the only bright spot. He inherited the mess but did his best to fix the situation. I played phone tag with the customer service dept. We exchanged voicemail's, but I emailed them several times fully detailing all the problems. They never acknowledged any of them. Taking my car into another Monroe for an oil change, will never go to this one again!!

The Glass Doctor replaced windshield in my new truck. They gouged up the dash, left several nicks on the dash and left dirty finger marks on the side pillars. The replacement took place on 12/09/2011 the company was called many times as well as emails. But all we got were false promises and we will call you back. They never offered a solution or a phone call. After talking to them on 12/05/12 they tell me they are a new franchise. They do not have any info on the past claim, but they will check into and call us back. We will see. S. Roof Mansfield Ohio

Only because I couldn't give 0 stars . Charged over $7.00 a pack for Pall Malls to an 86 year old man . Said they are the lowest priced . NOT . Those are under $5.00 everywhere else !

This place charged me 100 dollors to tell me I needed a new battery! because my car would go dead over night. Next day after i had the new battery in it was dead again. I took it back and was told i would be charged again to find the problem they didnt fix the first time! I took my car to firestone and they found the problem and fixed it in less than a hour. Bad lock cylinder. Cost me less than the diag time and battery from this place! I wont be going back to rex again.
