Here is the story, my daughter lives two hours away from me (her DAD) ... read more Here is the story, my daughter lives two hours away from me (her DAD) I have been in business for 30 years but have been an auto and Harley Davidson mechanic and body man for 40 years. my daughter has been there when I worked on cars and motorcycles. Custom cars, Harley, race cars and just regular vehicles. I taught her a lot about what I do. She is very smart about a lot of things, but you try your hardest to make her look stupid. Yes her ABS light was on. when she said she pulled the fuse for the ABS you tried to tell her how unsafe it was and what made her think it was a good idea to do that. She tried to explain to you that when you are having trouble with the peddle either getting hard or going to far down on ABS, unplug it or pull the fuse, until you can get the censers fixed it will just be like a regular brake. You know they had regular cars and trucks back in the day, and I and my daughter know how to drive with out ABS.I know you were just trying to make more money, NOT COOL! Also you told her she had a tire out of balance. Now I want to know how you knew that if you did not drive it.? The only why to tell is to drive it to see if there is a shake, or put the wheel on the balancer. Or do you have some new tool I don"t know about.I don't do business that way I have always been honest with my customers and have never tried to sell them things they did not need or want, or make them feel dumb. She came in for a $21.95 oil change and paid 136.00. even with you balancing 4 tires that at most would be $10.00 a tire and one air filter does not come to $139.00 with a $59.00 discount off the labor. She will drive to my shop and I will do all the work on her truck. She will never be back there. If I had more time and money, I would put a shop over in Springfield and do it right. I am very ashamed to know there are still Mechanics out there that treat people the way your shop does.

The current owner, Steve, was the man who offered me 4 tires(too small, but a "great" price) when I only wanted one. After telling him I did not have $400.00 to put on tires, just change the oil he and his side kick came to me telling me there was a problem. The bottom line they gave me was my car was "not safe and should not be driven." They told me what needed repaired, sounding as if it was no big deal, could be done no problem. I asked how much, the employee of Steve checked on his price, came back and clearly stated "$96.00" I said "$96?" He said "Yes, $96.00, and that would make the oil change free." I said great. I told them I had a regular mechanic and was surprised he didn't see this issue, as he is a man of integrity and has been my trusted mechanic for years now. I figured it was no big deal to allow this work to be done by someone else as it was not expensive, and the two men seemed confident it was no big deal to do. 4 1/2 hours later it was finally done. As I went to pay my bill I was told "$509.16." "What? No, it is $96.00" The man said, "No before taxes it was $476.96" To say the least I flipped. I told them they lied, they were clear in stating $96.00, hearing me repeat it, and they confirming it. In NO WAY did I EVER agree to cough up over $500.00!!!! I was there for an oil change for God sake! I was not half way home when I had to return to have them fix the half assed job they did. I went directly to my mechanic, who told me he knew what they had fixed, as he had told me years ago about it and it was of NO DANGER to the integrity of the safety of the car's performance,rather the common sound of most Dodge Caravans) So LONG story short, he didn't get my $400.00 for his used tires he tried to pawn off on me even though they were too small for my van, but they did get my $400.00 PLUS. I will NEVER go there again, ever. I will also be sure to let ever single person I know, several I have sent to them, know what happened and that they are not to be trusted as they lied, attempting to instill fear for my safety, and told me clearly a price they denied telling me. I am disgusted with the way I was treated with the "honey" this and "sweetheart" that. I can only wonder if my husband had taken our van in, would they have screwed him over too? Oil Connection in Fairborn? Nope, never again. I had to put a one star rate, but that is because there is not an option for a -star.

Totally rude and disrespectful . I had asked questions and was always given the same reply "ok" , I asked when the van had been released I felt like I should have been notified & she assured me that was NOT her job! This place is a joke , I would not recommend their services to anyone !!!!!!!
