I was told the problem was my starter and a tube had come loose in the transmission. 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee $494 later I was on my way. I might mention that I am handicapped and was not offered help removing the car from the tow bar though an employee outside did help when I picked it up. Well...The problem has returned. The same issue starting as when I was told the starter needed replaced. I called today 7/23/18 I called to let them know the car won't start and was told there is a one-year warranty on parts but only 6 months on labor and that mine is past the six months. From 1/31/18 to 7/23/18 .... not quite six months, someone needs to buy a calculator. The person I spoke to is Todd. He seems to hate the world. I called back to let him know that it was not six months from January and he decided to argue about the date when I told him I brought it in. He should have pulled it up and had the records in front of him. I don't trust Kevin's now and won't be going back for this repair. I feel Kevin’s, or I should say Todd needs to work on his people skills. With so much competition out there today, CUSTOMER SERVICE is the only way to survive. Losing a future customer for me, my family and anyone else that reads this and decides to go elsewhere over a simple starter problem which in all actuality should have been covered is no way to keep and get new customers. I am very disappointed in my handling as a current customer and will never be a repeat. I hope you don't have to follow up on any work done. It seems once Kevin gets your money they don't want to stand behind their work. BEWARE!!!!

I would under no circumstances recommend Met’s Machine Shop in Mansfie... read more I would under no circumstances recommend Met’s Machine Shop in Mansfield, Ohio to anyone! Contrary to their advertised claims they do not have “knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated staff.” Also, “Your most valuable work will be handled with care and professionalism: that your work will be finished as promised“ is not an accurate statement. They are not up to date on current motor standards and refuse to listen to customer concerns. I recently took a 2011 Suzuki head to have a valve job done. They ignored my request to not cut or lap in the titanium valves, since this practice will erode the anti-wear coating and deem the valve junk. When the head was returned to me and the problem was discovered, I called the shop and the first person on the phone told me this was the proper way to do a valve job when using titanium valves. I then proceeded to discuss my concerns. I told him I had spoken to many builders and confirmed you cannot cut or lap in a Titanium valve without recoating it. At this point the guy on the other end hung up. I then called back and spoke with the owner Butch, and he informed me that was their way of doing valve jobs. He then implied that is the correct way and every other shop was wrong in their practices. I then told Butch he needed to call Ferrea Valve and ask how a Titanium valve is to be installed, which he says he would. When some other employee returned my call to tell me what Ferrea said he informed me I was correct, but they were not going to correct the problem they created by ruining the Titanium valves. He then proceeded to hang up on me for a second time. I had originally chosen this shop because they are local, and I wanted to support a locally owned business. Obviously this was a mistake and I will only use well known motor builders/machine shops in the future. The first sign to me should have been that they had a short wait time to have my work completed. This should have told me that no other racers in the area use their services. If you choose to take your work to Met’s proceed with caution; make sure you know what you have and how it should be handled; make sure when you are telling them what needs to be done they are writing it down word for word; and find out ahead of time if they mess up how they will cover their mistake. Otherwise they will not make the mistake right, and they will try to screw you over on a technicality. I am out $2000 dollars in valves, do not make my mistake! Go someplace else!
