The problem was diagnosed fairly quickly with their designated diesel mechanic. Problem was, they didn't address this particular engines needs for certain parts to improve longevity compared to the factory parts which they wanted to install. A little research with competent diesel mechanics would have pointed out bulletproofdiesel.com and powerstrokehelp.com. I would have paid a lot more money for an inferior product, according to four other diesel pros I talked to. To get a battery cable replacement took six days and even tough I wanted to buy at least the cable and said so on two occasions, I was never called by McKenzie that the cable has arrived and when it apparently did, I was told they sent it back because I didn't want them to do the work. When I wanted to pick the truck up to drive to a different shop, they said, there is a service charge connected with that. No problem I said, but the "Boss" wasn't there, so nobody could tell me what that charge was. They didn't offer to call him to ask but had me come back again instead. The next day, after looking for the service order and the keys to my truck for a few minutes, I was told to diagnose the problem was $ 178, which are between two to three hours of work, what I considered to be fairly high. I was initially quoted $ 2900 for the job, but said, that's too high and pointed out the availability of superior products which cost less. The mechanic was reluctant and said he would call me back after looking into this but it took four days to do so. Then the work itself with me providing the parts, would have been $ 998, which was still to high. So I found a little shop who not only dealt with bulltetproofdiesel and powerstrokehelp parts, but quoted a much more reasonable price. I was not at all impressed with Mckenzie.

Maybe this place is great I wouldn't know. I made an appointment here online. I received 2 emails confirming as well as two text appointment reminders. I showed up for my appointment and the guy said sorry we are closed. I said I made an appointment online told him about the emails and text and he said sorry. Not anything else or even lets rescahedule anything. I was likw okay guess not and walked out. So to say the least I won't go back there and wouldn't recommend them ot their customer service skills. I would have sceduled somewhere else, however their hours at the location sat 9 to 1 on Saturdays...lesson learned.
