Auto repair service near Bishopville, SC

This is the worse experience of any business I have ever had. My car has been at the garage over 2 years. It was taken in June 2014. When the motor was tore down, the owner told me it was going to be a bigger job than he thought, so he needed me to pay 2000.00 as a deposit, which was paid. The block was sent to NAPA for work and returned. The estimate I was given was 5,800.00. I made numerous trips to see how my car was coming along. I was always given the excuse that they were waiting on a part. I had some things happen in my life, so I quit checking on the car as often. Finally after a year I heard from them and was told they needed 1,000.00 more to finish the car. That was paid as soon as it was asked for, but work has still not began on the car. Several weeks ago I went over there to see about the car again. Now the cam shafts that they were waiting on 2 years ago, have not even been ordered. The price I was quoted 2 years ago was 900.00 for the cams, that price has now ballooned to 1,200.00. On top of this they want to charge a storage fee, for a car that they have not fixed. They cannot even give me a quote on how much they want to finish the car. To make it even worse, I called another garage to see about them finishing it, they said it would have cost around 5,000.00 for doing the entire job. Even with the estimate, and the 1200.00 camshafts that would put the bill at 7,000.00

I just took my truck in to replace the catalytic converter, but I've had my other vehicle in for numerous things (she's old and falling apart, but I love her). These guys have never done me wrong. They're always polite, they work hard to get my repairs done quickly and with super fair prices. I could not ask for better service, and refuse to go anywhere else whether it's a major repair or a simple tune-up As a single woman, it's intimidating going into a mechanics shop (I've been swindled before). There is absolutely no worry about that with these guys! They are awesome! Thanks, Mike for all your hard work on my vehicles. I was new to Shaw AFB and brought my truck to Sumter County Tire and Auto because I felt it wasnt running as well as it should. When the team of SCC finished the truck it ran like a new one. There prices were extremely reasonable and I felt like I could trust them. They are my new shop. By the way ask for the fuel injection cleaning, I cant believe the difference. Sincerely, Doug
