These people must of moved to W. Beverly St. in Staunton?? Same phone number. Just want to say that i went their today and i am so grateful for their honesty. I really thought it would cost me alot to repair my vehicle as their was a loud screeching noise coming from my tire! I thought it would be the barrings?? Turns out i had a rock in my brakes and as a woman i know i have been ripped off before, but these people were NOT like that. They got the rock out for me and did not charge me anything. They really saved me and am so thankful. Just saying these people were honest.

As a woman I was concerned where to take my vehicle to. I stopped by this shop to have my vehicle looked at for possible transmission problems. I was greeted by two ladies upon arriving and was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful they were. After a little while the owner came out to discuss my vehicle issues. He was nice and went over options and prices with me. I was VERY happy to find out that it was not my transmission after all! They repaired my car and it runs great! No more issues at all. I have to say that I would recommend this shop. I will definitely be going back to have my car service there. You guys ROCK...you get an A+++++ from me!

LADIES BEWARE! I was here earlier this week. I needed to update my inspection sticker and get an oil change. After dropping my vehicle off earlier that day, I was phoned and told that my vehicle had passed inspection and could be picked up. I went the following day to pick it up, only to see that I had a rejection sticker. I inquired about the failed inspection and my phone call, at first no one would own up to calling me. After continuous "buck passing", one employee admitted to calling me and telling me it had passed. He said he "misread" the paperwork and told me I would need about $300 worth of work to pass the inspection. I was "mansplained" that I needed a hose to my power steering pump and that I needed a tail light cover replaced. The tail light cover has had a small crack in it since I've owned the vehicle and has always passed inspection. I decided to take it to the shop I had previously taken it to. The only reason I had not originally taken it there was because I had moved and it was further away. Commonwealth Engine Rebuilders in Verona passed my vehicle. The mechanic explained that as long as no white light can be seen through the crack, it has to be passed. Also, there was no leak in the hose. I will not be back to Jenkins. I'm disappointed that they live up to mechanic's stereotype of taking advantage of women, either that or the inspector doesn't know how to do his job. It's hard to find a competent and trustworthy mechanic. I hope they didn't screw up my oil change.

I was a little nervous when I realized that this place was under new ownership. Our family has been coming here for years and we've always had a great experience. This time was nothing short of perfect! I'll admit I miss Brittany's smiling face but the service has not changed at all. The new owner and his staff are so professional and polite. He explained to us how he trained with Carl Sr., the previous owner for over a year so that he would be able to maintain the same personal, small town service that customers had come to expect. He's doing a fabulous job and will continue to have our family's business for years to come. Thank you for setting such a fine example of small business ownership in the valley.
