Hook up of trailer

The so called mechanic hooked up our rental trailer while the salesman watched and told us the trailer is good to go. 4 hours into the trip, the chord was to long and shreded on the highway. We ended up buying magnetic trailer lights to make due. Yet in the end, it cost us out of our deposit to cover the repair. Nice to know that they messed up and won't own up to it.
