This Statement of User Rights and Responsibilities (the "Statement" or "Terms") governs the relationship between Mechanic Advisor, our affiliates, subsidiaries, contractors, advertisers, agents, and other partners (collectively referred to as "Us," "Our," and/or "Mechanic Advisor") with users of our products and/or services (collectively, "Users"). Products and services include, but are not limited to, www.mechanicadvisor.com, Mechanic Advisor’s mobile application, social media pages and accounts, shop listings, and/or shop reviews (collectively "Products and Services"). By using or accessing any of our products or services, Users agree to this Statement and the terms and conditions contained within.
By accessing or using our Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our Service. This Statement is the entire agreement between Mechanic Advisor and Users and supersedes any prior agreement and/or warranties.
Mechanic Advisor reserves the right to modify this Statement at any time. Any changes will be posted with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
You agree to use the Service for lawful purposes only and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not misuse or disrupt the Service, including uploading viruses, using automated tools to access the Service, or attempting to manipulate reviews or ratings.
You are responsible for any content you post, including business information, reviews, and ratings ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Mechanic Advisor a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content through our Service. You must ensure that your User Content does not infringe upon any third-party rights.
Mechanic Advisor periodically distributes unique intellectual property in the form of text, images, and videos. All such intellectual property is the property of Mechanic Advisor and shall not be reproduced or otherwise improperly used without Mechanic Advisor’s express written consent. Use of this property without our permission is prohibited.
The Service may include links to third-party websites or services not owned or controlled by Mechanic Advisor. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites, and access to such websites is at your own risk.
If you are a shop owner, you are responsible for ensuring that the details in your shop listing are accurate, complete, and up to date. You grant Mechanic Advisor the right to display your business information on the Service. By creating a Shop Page or posting shop detail content to MechanicAdvisor.com, the Users warrant that those submitted details are accurate and shall be kept up to date. False information shall be corrected, and the User grants permission for the Shop to be publicly reviewed.
Users may submit reviews of businesses listed on our platform. Any disputes regarding reviews and reports of false information should be immediately reported to support@mechanicadvisor.com. Mechanic Advisor is not responsible for the conduct of Users.
You may need to create an account to access certain features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Mechanic Advisor reserves the right to suspend, limit, or terminate any User’s access to our products or services.
You can access features through the Service that allow you to schedule appointments online with local businesses. These features may be provided by Mechanic Advisor’s third-party partners, including through iframes or similar formats. The use of these features may be governed by additional terms presented to you as part of the booking or transaction process. Please note that such third-party partners and/or the transacting businesses themselves are responsible for fulfilling bookings and transactions.
You may be required to provide your credit card information to confirm a booking. You will be charged any applicable fees, including cancellation or no-show fees, in accordance with the transacting local business’s cancellation policy provided at the time of booking. You agree that Mechanic Advisor may facilitate such payments and charges on behalf of the transacting business.
In the event that a claim, cause of action, or other complaint is made by a third party against Mechanic Advisor arising out of the action of a User, User agrees to and shall indemnify and hold Mechanic Advisor harmless from and against all damages, losses, and all reasonable legal fees, costs, and expenses. Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mechanic Advisor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees, and contractors from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or any other claim arising from your content or activities.

The Service is intended solely for users who are 13 years of age or older. By accessing or using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service. Mechanic Advisor works to ensure that Users only access our products and services when they can safely do so. Please comply with all applicable laws regarding cell phone use while operating a motor vehicle.
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Mechanic Advisor may use technology, such as cookies, that collects User information for a customizable user experience. We may use third-party advertising companies to serve Users with relevant product and service advertisements.
The Service is provided "as is," and Mechanic Advisor makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the Service’s accuracy, reliability, or availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Mechanic Advisor’s liability is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you have paid for services in the last 12 months. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except for claims relating to intellectual property rights, which may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction. The arbitration will be conducted in San Francisco, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, without notice. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Service and delete any content you have posted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute that arises will be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco, California.
These Terms, together with any additional terms or policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mechanic Advisor regarding the use of the Service.
