Bad converter
I purchase a convertor from him and after a few months it stopped working, so I drove the motor home with convertor still hooked up to Don’s and asked him to test it. He and his buddy went through the motions and came up with ‘the convertor was no longer working as it was installed incorrectly and you cannot replace the inverter with a convertor as I had done’. He refused to replace it and then called PowerMax and made sure they wouldn’t replace it either. The mechanic who installed my convertor has worked on Rv’s for many years and it was on his advice I had it installed to replace a faulty inverter. He keeps real busy so it was a few weeks before I could get hold of him. He tested the converter and told me it was working just fine and it took him but a few minutes to diagnose the problem as a blown inline fuse, he replaces it and everything has been working great ever since.

warranty service
STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE...terrible shop. Owner is a scam artist, he doubled the hours actually worked because it was warranty work, then refused to submit the charge to the manufacturer and made us pay and file with the RV company. Forest River RV's will no longer recommend this moron. Did a terrible job, had to go back twice. Water heater still did not work, sent a mobile repair man and tried to charge another 75 dollars. Puts all of the trouble on the customer so he can do as little as possible, but charge as mauch as possible. Don't get me going on how rude the person who answers the phone is...
