Went to Macy for a transmission overhaul. Went back several times after for poor shifting and was told no problem. Reverse went out and was told 2 weeks to check it out. $ major back surgeries and was still put off where I had to push it backward. Long story short never fixed problem that caused low/reverse band to snap. Got BAR involved and Macy was cited for numerous violations including NO receipts for any parts put into my trans. BAR recommended refund and Macy ( JR ) said NO. Taking them to court next. If you had work done there chances are there are no parts receipts for what they put in your car either. Dishonest company.

I was looking for an honest, straight forward, no-glitz service shop who could take care of our 2 Subaru's. I Yelped the Walnut Creek area and found Car Doctor with straight A's. That piqued my interest. After reading the other reviews, I thought I would give Car Doctor a try. I know my cars histories inside out, as I keep a spreadsheet on their services, mileage when anything happens, etc. I even know how many millimeters are left on my brake pads. I was 99% sure I needed rear shocks, and I knew the rear brakes on the wagon were very low. And that's what also Car Doctor said. No up sale, no gimmicks, just the honest truth.

Sunset Garage deserves more stars than 5. I have fired so many mechanics in my life, and it must have been because I was waiting to find Georges and his crew. I have been using them for well over ten years and am one of their biggest fans. I ALWAYS recommend them anytime somebody brings up an auto issue. They can fix just about any auto out there, and can even tell you the "lemons" to avoid when you are out looking for a new or newer vehicle. Again, THANKS GEORGES!! You are the best. Steven H. I love going to Clayton Valley Auto Service as Jeff and all those who work there are friendly, knowledgeable and do a very good job. When I had a check engine light Jeff's dad told me right off the top that it could be 4 or 5 different things and they would start out with the least expensive until they found out what the trouble was. I'm still driving that van around 5 years later. I really appreciate the great service they give. They are really great for routine maintenance, and wonderful when I have emergencies.

I made the biggest mistake by taking my car to autos international , they have had my car for the last 4 months and everytime i call about the progress the people can not even give me any information and keep telling me that they are working on it. I can not even describe how angry I am with this company, the people are very rude and have no idea what is going on. I always get the same answer , let me check and see whats going on with it. . my god people , I had to go out and buy another car just to get to work thanks to this so called repair shop. I have discoverd by googling Autos international that this repair shop has an excessive amount of complaints and others have or are experiencing the same problems with this shop. I guess I should have did better research before i took it to them. I have had no choice but to get a lawyer now and will be suing this shop for the cost of the repair and my loss of income thanks to their inability to repair my car. DO NOT GET FOOLED PEOPLE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS REPAIR SHOP , THEY ARE FULL OF LIES

Watch out for this shop. The owner, Charlie Qu is a hustler. He does not want me to buy my auto parts at Napa Auto. Charlie said that Napa parts are all made in China. I had my client repair her car to Advanced Auto Service to repair AC. Charlie promised my client heaven and earth. It took 2 weeks for Charlie to fix the car and made everyday promises that it was going to be fixed.

I took my car here for what turned out to be a simple, small electrical issue. Instead, Carlos told me I needed a fuel injection flush - one of those things they upsell you too when you go to an oil change place. Only this one cost over $300! Carlos assured me that the problem was resolved. I ended up stranded at the side of a freeway two miles away. I had to get the car towed at a cost of over $150! The solution was easy, took 10 minutes, and cost me nothing at the place I towed it to. When I called Carlos to tell him I was stranded at the side of the freeway because of his poor workmanship, his attitude was dismissive, condescending, and unhelpful. He proceeded to tell me that he doesn't guarantee that his workmanship will fix the problem. Really? Imagine if your doctor treated you that way. Basically, he took my money and did nothing. I get the feeling that this place once was a good shop, but someone got greedy and dishonest. To be certain, Carlos is a good talker. He seems sincere and knowledgeable. But the emphasis here is on SEEMS.
