At the end of January 2013, my wife and I went to Livermore Ford to look at an 2002 Explorer that was advertised. When we got there, the vehicle was still in the rear of the dealership and filthy dirty beyond all belief both inside and out. It was obviously the truck was not ready to be shown so I'm not sure why it was listed. Anyway we test drove the truck after a very quick wash and immediately noticed some strange sounds and shifting issues. Ben, the salesman with us, heard us and texted another salesman, Shon, who was waiting for us on our return. He swore up and down that there was no transmission problem with the vehicle and that if there was they would not sell it. Although very pleasant, Shon, turned out to be a typical salesman. He promised things that never came to being and changed his story as we negotiated the possible sale of the truck. I really wish I would have walked away, but for some stupid reason I did not and we bought the truck. Also for the first time in my life of buying vehicles, especially used vehicles, we bought a warranty. Good thing we did. One week later, I brought the truck to a different dealer and in 2 hours my newly purchased truck with no transmission problems was diagnosed with a transmission AND rear-end problem. The truck was repaired, but still does not seem right . I called Livermore Ford back and voiced by anger, and frustration with the finance manager, service manager , sales manager , and finally the general manager to let them know what occurred and how we were treated. All was to no avail. It seemed no one could care less and they claimed that the sudden mechanical problems must have occurred after purchase because there were no problems when it left their dealership. It is my own fault and I should have run away from Livermore ford when I had the chance adn not given them our money. DO NOT buy from Livermore Ford. The Best body and paint work I've seen thus far. I highly recommend Spectrum, I recently had my BMW hit from the side and the paint and body work looks as if nothing happened, blended well and you can never tell it was hit! There reasonable, trustworthy and most important fast! They won't have your car on the back burner, will expedite quickly while being precise! I research the heck out of my shops because I care about my car. Jay was highly rated, and I was given a casual recommendation through FB. I pulled the trigger and brought in my '06 BMW for some scheduled maintenance. I got my rear brakes done, a coolant flush, and a brake flush. I quoted the same work through the dealer just up the street and Jay came more than 30% cheaper. He dropped me off at work, and also picked me up as well. Now that's service. He sent me pictures of the parts he replaced and kept me updated on the progress. It seems simple that someone would think to do this now, but most don't and I appreciate it. Never felt pressured or pushed. He explained everything and was very knowledgeable about my car. Since he worked at BMW SF for over 17 years, I thoroughly trust him. He is definitely my new go to guy for BMW Service. Thanks!

I came into this shop and ask how much it would be to diagnose and replace the thermostat and water pump - they quoted $57 for the diagnosis and $657 for the work. When my husband dropped the car off they wrote the quote much higher so I called to dispute it and was told this was there standard price. I asked them not to work on the car because I didn't feel comfortable with the sudden price change. When we picked up the car it had been moved and I asked why they said they were about to begin the work when I cancelled. I drove it across the street for a diagnosis at another shop and was told that the Coolant hoses were disconnected and all of the coolant was running out of the car...and the car could not be driven it had to be towed!!! Costing us even more money!!! There were no leaks when the car was dropped off at CME. The thermostat light had come on a few weeks earlier we filled up the coolant, nothing was leaking because the car sat in our drive way for two weeks while we were on vacation....until we could drop it off at the shop. Please beware of these vindictive crooks...
