I've been looking for a mechanic for a while and I think I found it! They are really friendly, honest and go out of their way to help. Their prices are also SO much lower than the dealership... I'll never go back to my dealer.

These people were life savers!! We broke down 12 hours from home. After our truck was 'fixed' at another repair place we broke down not less than 3 miles away. We got towed for the third time thankfully to Street Tech. Corey knew how desperate we were to salvage any part of our vacation and he went above and beyond. They stayed open an hour late, he correctly diagnosed the problem with limited time, went to bat for us to get the part we needed and fixed it! He charged us less than the first place that didn't even fix the problem! He called us the next day to make sure everything was ok and that we made it to our destination. I only wish I lived in Orangevale because I would never take my cars anywhere else! When we weren't sure it could be fixed in a day, the receptionist called a car rental company for us and gave us a list of hotels nearby. They were friendly and helpful when we most needed it. This is an honest, hard working, stand up place with people that are amazing. If you live anywhere near Sacramento I would check it out! If you've got a German Car, you need this garage! John, the owner, is always ready to hear your concerns and his shop is absolutely a MAZE of top-drawer equipment and tools. You always get a real "neighborhood friendly" feel, when coming to Silver Star.

Exceeded my expectations. As a woman, I am always suspect of what "problems" I am told my car may have. Randy, brought to my attention two issues which they fixed, but showed me a picture of what it looked like before and after. WHAT A CONCEPT! PROOF...I love it. The other first .... The price I was quoted was the price I paid when I returned to pick up the car. Very impressed with quick and HONEST service. Big thank you to Randy and his staff Jess Couch

Jeremias took $3500 from me to put a used engine in my old car. Once he took possession of it and took the head off, the game was over. When removing your car and going somewhere else is no longer an option, you have the tiger by the tail. The "cost" kept increasing up to $1800 that I still (involuntarily) agreed to. ($1500 had been my target cost) The last day he told me the final price was $3100, (+ the $700 for the used, untested motor...which was BAD) without my having approved of THAT absurd figure. Many "chores" were charged as separate procedures to jack up the price. Charging hours of labor for motor mounts when the engine is being replaced anyway is one example. The engine had no oil pressure and the "engine" light was on. Smog was due in six weeks and a component was missing. I had to sell the car for junk ($49 at Pick N Pull) and I had to go to court. I won in court but he won't pay. The sheriff went for a "till tap" but couldn't collect any money because he does cash transactions from his pocket. His profile with the BBB and others was not consistent with his past life, as far as years in auto repair, etc. He knows every trick in the book. "If you give this man your ride, sweet memories will die." (slight variation of the Jim Morisson song) I have all the paperwork to prove these comments, from the greed-driven invoice from 1st Choice to the $49 receipt from Pick N Pull. In court he acts confused and thinks I should have brought it BACK to him! I'm actually a little curious to see how high his lack of shame would allow him to raise the price. Of course I regret paying the total to remove my car. I should have let him keep it, but I thought the legal route was the way to go. Well...not so much with this slick operator.
