I was looking for an honest, straight forward, no-glitz service shop who could take care of our 2 Subaru's. I Yelped the Walnut Creek area and found Car Doctor with straight A's. That piqued my interest. After reading the other reviews, I thought I would give Car Doctor a try. I know my cars histories inside out, as I keep a spreadsheet on their services, mileage when anything happens, etc. I even know how many millimeters are left on my brake pads. Personally I think Im a bit ignorant when it comes to the workings of a vehicle but I do know when something might be wrong just by the sound and feel of the car Im driving. I've always felt that other mechanics try to get me to approve unnecessary work to be done so they can charge a lot just because Im female. The first time I went to Ron and Marcel, I felt like Ron really listened to what I believed was the issue. He had Marcel take a look and sure enough I was correct. They didnt try to sell me more than what was necessary, which I appreciated. Ive taken my car there a few more times since then and Ron always explains things to me in way that I can understand. I find them to be very fair in price and feel they are an honest business. I had my son go to him for his car needs and recommend him to all my friends and family.
