My car needed serious engine work and now runs like its brand new! The work these guys do is top notch and they are super friendly and trustworthy. Established in 1992. This business is a family owned and operated auto repair shop. In 1991 Alfonso Gonzalez left his regular day job as an auto mechanic to work on cars at home. Just having a couple of customers a day helped him pay the bills and his recently purchased home. In 1992 his amount of customers grew and was able to open his official licensed auto repair facility in the city of Hawthorne CA, for the next 5 years the businesses boomed from one bay to a 3 bay, 1500 square foot facility, not having enough room he was forced to move to a 2500 square shop in Inglewood, CA. Ten years later he moved to 1129 S. La Brea. Inglewood CA. with 10,000 square foot lot and 4 employees Universal Auto Service still offers great prices and an awesome customer service.

My charger rides so good after the tune-up they gave me, I had a very long drive so I decided to get a tune-up first, so glad I did! They do amazing work!

I brought in my BMW 530i and received marvelous service. I had a chance to speak with one of the mechanics when I first brought my car in, and he was very attentive and on top of things. Throughout the whole process Swiss Motors kept me updated on the scope of work and the cost. When they found issues in addition to the main problem I brought my car in for, they let me know what it was, how important it was to fix, and what the cost would be. I never felt at all pressured to add anything, and I never felt like I was being upsold - all that Swiss Motors cares about is getting your car fixed efficiently and cost effectively, and keeping you updated every step of the way. I needed a rental in the meantime while my car was being repaired, and even though Swiss Motors doesn't offer loaner cars there is a Hertz super close by that worked out just fine. And ever since I got my car back from Swiss Motors it has been running like a dream.

I thank my lucky stars for this place!! For as long as I've been taking my car to the team here, which is about 6 years now (this was previously a Nappa, with the same team), I have always been listened to genuinely and given considered, expert recommendations for my old car. It's thanks to them that it keeps on going!! Managers Albert, Mitch and the mechanics are top notch, friendly and so helpful! They take the time to listen and explain. At first, having just moved to LA, I used to cross-check their recommendations with a friend who owns a repair shop back where I used to live. Every time, he agreed with the basis for their assessment, plan of action, and price. As an example of their honesty, there was one type of repair that, for the type of car I have, is apparently best done by the dealership, and they told me that up front, rather than just doing the repair themselves without telling me and leaving me with the chance that the car may not work as it should. They have never been pushy and they help me prioritize what needs to be done and what can wait. They have sometimes gone out of their way to help me. The friendliness and reliability with which I'm treated here makes this Napa shop a valuable part of my sense of community here in Hollywood. I would have to say that they are the best at what they do. I took my car wrecked from the accident. They towed my car for free to their shop and started on the paperwork right away. Not only they are honest, they are also reliable. In only 3 weeks I had my car back, in perfect condition. A+ to Pristine Auto. God forbid I have another accident, Pristine is my body shop!
