I went to Midas on 05/14/2014 to change my brake pads. While there, the repair man told me that my rotors were ruined. I said that they were not and that I wanted them to put my tire back on so that I could get a second opinion. The repair man (who is much bigger than me and who was very aggressive) said no, and that if I don't let them do the work he would make sure to charge me a lot of money for the "diagnostic." I relented, but insisted that I keep my old rotors. I called Midas Corporate immediately after and they sent me to a store in the area that they trusted for second opinions and diagnostics. This store (also a Midas - S. Orange Blossom Trail.) told me that my rotors were fine and in NO WAY needed to be replaced, in fact, the mechanic said that I could probably use them for another 2-3 years before ever having a problem. On top of that, they put the new rotors, and my old tires on incorrectly, pushing my wheels out of alignment and making it so that my traction control could not engage and the mechanic in the new store said that they charged me an extra $50 PER ROTOR and $17 PER BRAKE PAD than what Midas expects. Thank god it did not rain, or I could have been in serious trouble. I have spoken with the store manager, who lies and says he is the owner, multiple times, and eventually got to the owner himself and they refuse to give me a refund, or even acknowledge that there is a problem. Midas cannot force them to give me one since the shop on Alafaya is a franchise (they did fix my tire problem for free, and do all further diagnostics for free, the only one acting unethically is the Midas on Alafaya.) I was forced into buying rotors I did not need through intimidation and erroneous payment threats. Midas caused multiple unrelated brake problems while my car was in their care (the aforementioned unallignment and disengagement of traction control.) They also over charged me for equipment, and labor by much more than the prices set by Midas (as indicated by the mechanic at the second shop.) They are fully aware of the problem and refuse to make it right. They will continue to do this to young girls whom they know do not have the knowledge or confidence to stand up to them. They are scamming people. I will never get my money back, but I AT LEAST want to keep people from going there.

Sears Auto Center Florida Mall Orlando LOST MY CAR REMOTE AND HOUSE KEYS from my keychain. Then the tire they mounted went FLAT within 36 hours, had to have it TOWED BACK TO SEARS. Per manager Chris, Sears Auto policy is that they do not check tire pressure before customer leaves if customer does not buy Sears tires! He did the oil change in Dec. 2019, overpriced at $220. Then the pandemic started, and the car was in the garage since then. About a week ago, I turned on the car lights are back on the dashboard for maintenance lights and tire sensor. I took it back to him and paid another $220 for the tire sensor and maintenance lights. Seems like $220 is the price they charge for anything small, lol. The car went back into my garage. I turned on the car for the first time yesterday, and the lights are back on. I called and talked to Robi, he said to bring it in the morning it takes 5 minutes. I brought the car in the morning before work, and they wanted to charge me and told me I have to leave the car. I left immediately. Then Robi followed me for a few miles in his Silverado. He threatened me and belittled me, asking if I needed money for the repair. Robi Zaldeti is a crook and strong-arming type of man. Unprofessional, unethical, and if you don't want to do business with him, he'll follow you and threaten you.

This is the Worst Service I have ever seen ...Do Not Let Them Touch Your Vehicle ...I bought the Coupon for 3 oil changes and tire rotation so I made an appointment when I saw Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum were going to put a pair of Vise Grips on my Hood support rod to hold the hood up which would have Scared the rod and Worst Bent the Hood Hinges on my Classic IROC Convertible , Thank God I Caught them before they put their Extreme Stupidity in action ... I had to supply them with a Hood support and the oil that I use in all my Vehicle because they only use low quality oil. I asked them to rotate the tires and the owner mumbled something about that I didn't need it , I think he was being Lazy and he wasn't happy that I was using a coupon... Well he won in the end because I will never go back there again and neither should YOU ... If you do have to go there because you bought a coupon , #1 Keep an Eye on Them at all Times ...#2 make sure you bring your own oil ...#3 bring an old 5 quart container to put your old oil in to take with you because they Charge Garbage Fee of $5.00 to dispose of your oil which they actually sell to oil recyclers making money on both ends...You can drop the oil off at any oil change place for Free #4 Have them put there Low quality oil in the container that you brought with after they put your oil into your Vehicle, "You can use it in other machines"... #5 Just Don't Do It ...It's Not Worth It ...

Typical grift shop. Friendly upfront and unorganized and uneducated in the back. This place will leave you with zero confidence in the "work" i use the word work loosely because i had to bring the vehicle back in after a couple of days with new problems and im sure there will be more problems as an extension of the "work" done here. My suggestion is to take your vehicle to a real mechanic

Only 1 star because I can't give none. I'm am 15+ year mechanic, and I needed some tires (that I already had) mounted on my wife's car. I would do it but I don't happen to have that equipment sitting around in my garage. I called in advance and was told $13.99 to mount & balance each tire. It was made clear that this was the total "out-the-door price (incl. tax, etc.) I drove down the next day and was greeted by the on-duty manager. After ringing up a bill for only 2 tires the price was more than double for each. I played along and asked why. He said that I had a TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) and required an extra $20 per tire. I said I dont have TPMS, and he said "Yes you do, clearly you dont know anything about cars." I laughed in his face and drove 1/2 mile to the Tuffy Auto Care up the street, where the price was exactly what they quoted. Tire Kingdom? Crooks. Always have been. Always will be.
