I was driving from out of state to my 2nd home for a Christmas family visit. As I was driving over the Courtney Campbell Causeway, sun setting on the horizon, had to open the sunroof and smell the salt air. Beautiful scene. Got to my place a few minutes later...could not close my sunroof. Tried to get the roof to close over the next day to no avail. Called the local dealer, earliest service appointment was 7 weeks out. Was recommended to a European repair shop by a neighbor. After looking at it for a few minutes, they said, "need to take it to the dealer, work too involved". Looked up European car repair in Pinellas County online, several came up, including R&B's. Had great reviews. Called and spoke to A.J. Professional, informative, explained the initial steps w/costs and could get me in the next day. Dropped it off next day and they Ubered me back to my place. They called a few hours later, had gotten the roof to close, which is all I wanted. Cost was exactly what was quoted, initially. Quoted me a price for a new sunroof motor, which sounded reasonable. Decided to leave as is because of heading back North in a couple of weeks and not needing the roof open for quite a while. Being from out of town and completely at their mercy, they could have taken it to me. Instead, A.J. and Molly chose to be honest, courteous and professional. If you have work needed on a European car...take it to this shop. You won't regret it.

This is a great place for repairs. The "dealership" we went to could not fix our vehicle. Bob and his crew got it right the first time at way less $$$.

The Midas location on 4th Street North and East Bay Drive in Clearwater are franchise locations operated by Adam Ford. These 2 locations were great while they were managed by Midas Corporate offices headquarted in Illinois. We were customers there at the time. Then, all went downhill when they were turned over as franchise operations, managed by Adam Ford who brought his swindling business ethics from .... the other side of the pond. The 4th street shop replaced a clutch master cylinder in May 2013 on our Chevrolet. It failed 10,000 miles later in July 2014. Under the terms of the warranty, they replaced it free of charge, again with an "after-market" part and not original equipment. The part failed also 10,000 later in May 2015. Guess what? It failed again in May 2015. We contacted them for a THIRD resolution. Keep in mind, their incompetence is now dragging on for 2 years ....They kept the vehicle overnight and said they had flushed the hydraulic clutch system and so, it should be good ...But it's not good, the clutch pedal is unresponsive... . I think 2 years and 3 separate opportunities to diagnose and install reliable equipment is ample time to decide on a Auto Repair Shop's competence, honesty and business ethics, don't you? By the way, we have taken our chevrolet to 2 other shop for evaluation and they recommended to only install Chevrolet original clutch master cylinder because after market parts don't last. Hum.... seems no one at Midas could figure that out and suggest this .....

Frank is a master in his art. He has now completed the 2nd major engine out service on my Ferrari 355, the first in 2008 and recent one in 2015. The most recent service included huge changes including radiator replacements, suspension and shock work, engine tear down to replace and test everything (injectors, leakdowns etc). Frank takes his time and misses nothing. Anything that comes up while in the process gets a phone call and a decision is jointly made before he proceeds. He takes his time and is a true adviser, never pushing for additional work always advising and showing, reviewing and making decisions based on time and cost and availability. He is honest in his assessments and happy to review risk/rewards. His pricing is fair and he has never taken advantage. He treats all his customers with respect and not as another wallet to be taken advantage of. He truely loves the cars he is working on. He will happily take time for phone calls and "dumb owner" questions and happy to meet with you any time of the day to just shoot the breeze. Nobody will ever work on my Ferrari's other than Frank in the future.

An amazing team here, they treat you like family, service is very personalized and on point. Brought my car in because, firstly I had a small oil leak and because the car kept dying on me. It is an Audi A4 Turbo, 14 years old. Austin did all kinds of test trying also to save me money before changing the Cat, becauwe he initially thought it was the Catalytic Converter. WWell after working at least four hours on the car, changing a few things here and there, which were not fixing the problem, he determined I did in fact need a new Cat. Took five days to get the part..it is an Audi...anyway, my car now runs like a well oiled machine. Austin did many test runs while figuring out the problem with new codes popping up here and there. He offered to gas the car up for me, which I declined. He did not try to take advantage of me being a woman. For the first four hours of work which did not solve the problem, he offered to only charge me for one hour but I told him that we should split the hours. Another place probably would have charged me the full four hours. My husband is taking his car to Austin. I highly recommend this mechanic at Rainbow Muffler. Michelle Swanlund, Largo FL
